We called in advance due to some confusion as to whether there was an RV park or if it was just a hotel. The web site did not mention the RV park and it was also called the Mountain River Resort and the Mountain River Ranch but the phone numbers were the same. When I called I was told to call a different number. The person who answered assured me there is an RV park. I asked to make a reservation and she said "ok", then she changed her mind and said I didn't need one, there would be plenty of spaces. We followed the directions on the web site. When we arrived at the address it was the hotel, we were told the RV park was located 3 miles up the road. More confusion. We arrived, checked in: simple, give me your credit card, here's your receipt. No information or directions. We asked which space number and were told any empty space was ok. We then asked what time we needed to check out the following day and was told "oh anytime is ok". We drove across the road to the RV park picked a space, leveled our RV, unloaded the bikes, and started hooking up our electric and water when we discovered there was no water. After more confusion we were told to move to a space in the back two rows as they were the only ones with water. The park is dry and dusty. The bathrooms/showers are clean. We will only be here one night.
Nice park on the river. The indoor pool is very warm. They probably open the side doors during the summer. There is a playground for children and good access to the river. There were many people floating on the river and playing along the river bank. We will return here in the future. Grounds are maintained.
We spent one night here. The showers and bathroom were not usable. The location has a wonderful view and a nice walk about over the marsh. The City pool is on the edge of the premises but not open this time of year. The RV park area was clean and well lit. Because it is a public park there is a lot of foot traffic and vehicle traffic coming and going to use the playground and access the beach area. I would not feel comfortable leaving my site and leaving any personal items outside. I will not stay here again. The fee must be paid in cash or check.
We stayed here overnight. It was a wonderful RV park with lots to offer. The park is very nicely maintained, the restroom/shower was immaculate, and even included a hair dryer. The pool was lovely. There were many things for children activities that we did not use. The beach was easily accessible. We walked and rode our bikes on the beach. How cool was that! There was breakfast the morning we were there. It was nice with a modest price of $2.50 pp. We will return for a longer visit next year.
We stayed in this park for 4 months. The ballroom/recreation is the biggest asset. The restrooms are cleaned daily, laundry is good and there are outside clothes lines for hanging your clothes. You need to purchase your own cable. The pool is salt water and maintained nicely along with the hot tub. The hook ups are older, but seemed to work most of the time. There were water outages and the water is not good for drinking or cooking. Wi-fi was unavailable most of the time. When we arrived everything was dirt by the time we left there had been a lot of rain and the grass was nice and green. There were lots of activities and many couples come here year after year. We will not be returning.
This RV park was friendly and well maintained. Check in was fast and easy and we were escorted to our site. Sites are long and have full hookups, pool, laundry and rec hall with large screen TV and exercise equipment. Friday evenings there is a "bring your own BBQ" to put on the grill and eat with other residents. This is a small park with a lot of long term residents. It is close to the water but there is no access and the beach is a marsh so you can't walk on it anyway. It was O K.
