This is a municipal park with no facilities but full hook ups. All sites are paved. Need to check in at City Hall. There is a sign on the approach road (2nd St) indicating a low height of 11'10". This is misleading as there are no height restrictions. We checked at City Hall and the Tourist office about this and they had no idea why it was there. I believe it may have been put there while some major bridge construction was being done on the new US79 bridge across the White River but is no longer valid. We are 13'6" and had no problems. There is a rail crossing which is quite steep on both sides but we didn't bottom out with a long 5th wheel so unlikely to pose any difficulties. People at City Hall and Tourist Center are very helpful. The campground is popular on weekend during hunting season so pays to call.

This is a small campground with only 10 sites. Only 2 of the sites have 50A (1 & 2, of which 1 is handicap). The sites are a little strange in that services are not always on the right side of the rig and some sites have water and electric on one side and sewer on the other. All sites have a sheltered picnic table but often it is, again, on the wrong side of the site. All sites are pull through but you have to decide beforehand which site you want and which way around you want to be. The camp is particularly set up for the horse trails that surround it so there are horse corrals behind the sites. This does tend to attract flies unfortunately as otherwise it is a nice campground. Likely to be heavily used on weekends by the horsey set so you may wish to reserve a site if you plan on being there on a weekend.

There are three sites with 50 amp, which are also pull-through. The other sites are 30 amp with shared sewer. These sites are also a bit shorter but you could put a 40' rig on them with overhang on the grass. Nice municipal camping area in a nice looking neighborhood.

This park is mostly park models with a few RV sites. Having said that it is very tidy and friendly. All the park model and double wide sites were well kept and seem to mostly snowbirds. The RV sites are large enough for a big rig and while on a slope the sites themselves are relatively level. The staff was very friendly and the amenities (clubroom, pool etc) seem to be very nice. PA was available for 2 nights of our 3 night stay.

This campground is right alongside I-10 although the traffic noise didn't really affect us. The transient sites are well laid out with good concrete patios and flat parking, but they are very narrow. Our awning was inches away from the rig alongside and had to be retracted to allow them to move out. The owners are very helpful and lead every rig in to ensure you can park with room for others to get in and out. There are other sites under the trees which may be larger, but we didn't pay much attention to them. Perfectly fine as a transient stop or for a few days visiting Lake City, which is only a couple of miles down the road. Our rate was PA.

Whilst somewhat rustic, and with little in the way of amenities, this park is fine for anyone who is self sufficient as most rigs are these days. The hosts are very helpful and the sites are large grassy level sites. All are pull through. The "roads" are just wheel tracks and somewhat bumpy, but as long as you take it slowly it is not a huge problem.

Have to endorse the comments of the last reviewer. This is basically a car park with power and water but the reason you come here is because it is the closest RV park to NYC. The transport to NYC is very close and an easy walk. The area seems fairly nice with modern buildings and clean streets. It is pricey but I guess that is what happens when there is a monopoly. I was very surprised that there is not another campground within 50 miles of NYC.

Very pleasant campground with a choice of heavily shaded trees or open areas. We chose the trees and unlike some campgrounds the ground underfoot wasn't wet and soggy under the trees. Easy access and good place to explore Detroit, Port Huron, etc., although it was a fair drive to Detroit.

We camped here as part of a rally of fellow Montana owners and were treated very well by the campground management. Our site was one of the cable sites and was very tight to get into because of trees although ours was probably the worst of the sites in this respect and it just made it an interesting challenge. It is very handy to Sandusky and all its attractions. It is busy on the weekend with lots of kids but they didn't disturb us.
