The most beautiful campground in NJ. The view is incredible, the animals are adorable, and they really do love pets. Our lab had a great time checking out the animals through the fence, and he LOVED the dog run. The staff was very nice and so were our neighbors who helped us back in the spot in the dark on Friday night. Very close to Mountain Creek (why we chose this campground).
This is a really nice wooded campground. The interior roads can be a bit confusing and tight in some spots. The bathrooms are VERY private and clean, but can be a long walk depending on where you are in the campground. We actually drove to the showers to save time. The pool is nice, and they have really wonderful activities for everyone. We were stuck in on Saturday night because of a nasty thunderstorm, but we ran down to go to the Luau and had a blast. And it was FREE! So nice to not have to pay for extra activities at a campground. We really enjoyed it here and will return again soon.
Great splash park and pool area. LARGE shaded sites. Restrooms were filthy in the pool area. Smelled awful and looked even worse. We walked all the way back to our site instead of using the restrooms there. Cute activities for the kids and it has a large shaded playground. The train ride is really cute.
VERY clean campground. The staff is exceptionally friendly. This campground does cater to seasonals, but everyone we met was very nice and helpful. The transient sites are small. Seasonal sites are MUCH larger and have a lot more shade. We had a paved parking pad and a small river rock area where the picnic table and fire ring were. Unfortunately, the picnic tables on each transient site are directly next to your neighbor's sewer hookup. It was partially shaded by large pines. The pool is large and well maintained. It is directly across from the transient sites which is nice. Store is stocked well and has reasonable prices. Laundry area is very nice and clean.
Wading pines is the cleanest, most organized, and most wonderful campground we have EVER been to. The staff is attentive and very helpful. The campground and sites are super clean. I did not see one piece of litter on the ground in our entire weekend there. The pool is salt water and very large. The campground itself is beautiful with clean, well kept buildings and a nice river area to explore. The sites are open, large, and semi shaded by the large pines. The activities are well organized and FREE. My kids really enjoyed the carnival (with prizes!) and train ride through the campground. We will return again soon. We were really pleased and couldn't have asked for a better experience.
We stayed at Sea Pirate over Memorial Day weekend. We went in a group of 2 young families. Overall, we had a pleasant experience. The grounds were very clean, the sites were clear and level, and there is a lot to do right on the campground. The marsh is a really cool area and so beautiful. Management seemed on top of any troublemakers and were constantly patrolling in the evenings. Bugs are a BIG problem here (specifically gnats and mosquitoes). I know that bugs are to be expected, but as soon as we pulled onto our site, while we were still IN the truck, we were being attacked. I think they should really look into spraying or at the least turning on the fountains in the pond to circulate the water and help stop the mosquitoes from breeding. By the time we left, we had used several cans of bug spray, foggers, and citronella candles and we still were covered in dozens of bites. The women's showers were dirty. Hair clogging the drains, toilet paper in the drains, and a bit mildewy. It could be cleaned more than once per day in my opinion. The pool area is very nice, and the little cafe is great and has very friendly workers. Store is large and has everything you may need (except bug spray because it was sold out, lol).
