We loved this park...6 miles on so-so road but worth it. Sites are large and well tended. Views are beautiful looking back over the valley. Signage is good to find the place and the price was especially nice.
We loved this campground. Please note our rate was based on a monthly rate of $320 plus electricity. I do not know the nightly rate. The facilities are older but very well maintained. The laundry is a super bargain at $1 a load! All of our neighbors could not have been nicer. We stayed in the lower section; which is primarily long term. The upper section has a better view of the Granite Dells. If you want to explore this area of Prescott you can't go wrong with this stop. We stayed 2 months while we worked at the Prescott Gateway Mall, which is just 3.5 miles from the campground, and a beautiful drive in itself. We hope to return to Prescott and will certainly stay here again.
Very sweet lady at the front office, and park is easy to find. We were parked right next to office building and the internet signal was so poor it was unusable. I can see they are working to upgrade the campground but feel they are edging on too costly for what they offer. We would have probably rated higher if the Dec $25 was still in place. We were there Jan 1, 2013 and the rate is now $30 for 30 amp..higher if you need 50 amps.
We loved this place. It was quiet (only heard 2 trains despite other comments) and the host was friendly. Cable worked good, Wi-Fi is available, though we did not use it. Best of all was the price...at $17 a real bargain.
We picked this park because it was the cheapest option, so our 6 is not a complaint, but rather a comment on generally getting what you pay for. We did not see any bathrooms. Sites, though pull-throughs, are quite short. We are only 24 ft plus a tow car. By taking the first spot by the entrance, which was a bit angled and thus longer, we were able to fit. The payment is self-serve with no rate sheet posted, so check the website before you go to see what your rate will be. You drop your payment through a slot in the front door of a mobile home on site.
Though spartan in amenities, this campground was perfect for us. We love to experience local areas on our travels and seldom use anything but the electric hookup on one-night stays. We could not get any local TV stations, if that is a concern for you, but we could dodge the trees to use our dish. Our Verizon hotspot had good reception. We would definitely stay here again!
