If I could give this campground a 15 rating I would. We stopped to see family in Cleveland, staying at the campground two days. They allowed us to dry store our motorhome on the property for a very reasonable price during the week of my visit. My rig is "big" and would not fit into the regular storage area. They came up with a solution that was perfect. The park itself is beautiful. We have stayed at KOA's across the United States and Canada. Outside of a private campground on Price Edward Island, this was the best campground we have ever been to. Clean, good size sites, steady electric power, beautifully maintained grounds with lakes. Best of all a friendly staff who went out of their way to help us. My only negative was Wi-Fi could have been stronger.
The park was clean, check in was friendly, close to the national park and Bar Harbor. Reservations were for a "big rig" site, but was given a site in which my mirrors hung out into the road. When I told the office my rig would not fit they sent out an employee to help me shoehorn it into the space. The gal in the office said they have had 40' units in the site, the fellow that helped me said a unit that large could not fit. Even though they had no sewer sites available, they do have a pump out service for $10.00 per time. I wish more campgrounds would do this, it is a great idea. Fellow came around pulling a large plastic tank with a pump and hose. He was done in 10 minutes. The campground is large, but broken up into areas, included an area for group camping. The price was good value, but if you decide to go make sure they give you the physical measurement of the site reserved for you
Needed overnight stop over, my rig is "big rig" 38' plus toad. When I registered I asked the person at the desk to look at my rig and let me know if it was too big, they said no. Getting into the site was very difficult, barely was able to swing some turns, cars parked everywhere, Getting out was another matter, the only exit was through a road that was barely wide enough for the rig, with lots of branches hanging into the roadway. This resulted in a series of deep scratches along the passenger side of the motorhome. The site they put me into was new, it had rained the previous day and the place was like a mud hole. It was hot, we turned on our A/C, I checked the incoming voltage, is was barely 100 volts, the unit kicked out and we disconnected for fear it might damage other components. Radios blasted well into the evening, and fireworks set off. On the positive side the park looked like the perfect "kids" facility. Pool, water slide, games and plenty of room to play. Families seemed to be having a great time. My recommendation, if your looking for a site for overnight, don't, especially if your rig is more than 34 feet. And make sure you check the voltage!
We were greeted by owner as we came into park. She guided us to a lovely site overlooking the campground. Backed up by woods with fire pit the site was beautiful. Spent three days. Park was quiet, clean, and well maintained. It is only a few miles away from Williamstown MA, a neat place to visit. My only negative was sewer hook up was on side of hill, too high to get drainage. Would stay again!
This campground serves the Charlotte NC area. The campground is well maintained and is convenient to I-77. Along with the usual amenities it has an RV parts/repair business inside the park. We have purchased parts from them, very friendly. Even though they are close to I-77, noise is minimal. When the Charlotte speedway is open, campground is usually packed, so make reservations early.
