Very clean park and there are several sites with large trees. The restrooms were kept very clean. They also have a meeting hall if you have a group traveling together or meeting at the park. All the employees were very friendly. They are in the process of installing Wi-Fi so some sites have bad connections. I use a cellular modem so it was not a problem. The Park is very close to the Airport, Fairgrounds, and Downtown.
We had a very bad experience with a KOA campground the one and only time we stayed at one, and swore we wouldn't stay at another. Since all other campgrounds were full and our 2 year old "decided" that it was time to stop, we went ahead and stayed at this KOA. All I can say is that this will be one of our regular stops! The staff was very nice and made you feel like they really cared. They took us to our site, made sure we knew how to hook up everything, told us about the local attractions, and made sure everything went well. They have a nice playground, and the owners cook at night. The prices for the meals are very affordable and it keeps you from having to leave. I can't say enough good things about this park, the views are great, the staff, and even the other campers were all friendly. I would definitely recommend this park!
If every other place in Estes Park is busy, I would stay here again. The web pictures are not a good representation of the park. It is very crowded in B row with rigs feet away from you on all sides. There are very few trees and all sites will require some leveling. The bathrooms are very nasty. The toilets were all stopped up one time I visited and someone had thrown up all over the place on my second visit. There is quite a bit of dog waste on the areas between trailers. Overall the staff was very nice and they do have a campfire every night. Also, elk stroll through the park nightly. They had a bear in the park the week before we arrived. Since we don't spend much time at the park, I would stay here if the other parks are booked. I would not recommend the park to those that like to use the showers and restrooms at the park.
The female owner of the park seemed friendly, other than that all other staff were either unfriendly or just down right rude. First, we arrived after office hours and were met by a person in a golf cart. He said, "Do you have a reservation?" in a very ugly tone, like he was too busy. He then led us to our site and left. We told the park that this was the first time we had taken our new RV out. It seemed like hookups would have been easy, but you'd think they would make sure I knew where everything was. When I sent in a bad review to KOA, the owner called and would not listen to anything, making excuse after excuse. I will not stay here again. Since this experience I have stayed at many RV parks in 4 states, I have not had a bad experience in any of them.
