This KOA is located just off the highway, yet far enough back that we were not bothered by the highway noise. There sites were well kept, and easy to get in and out of. The property was a little small and a bit crowded, but it did have nice trees and good landscaping. I could not get their wi-fi to work, however that may have been my computer. The staff was friendly
We stayed at this campground overnight on our way to visit family and immediately regretted our decision, yet is was dark and we did not want to travel on. The park is in poor repair, the sites are not level, and in general it seemed like a scary place to be. We almost decided to camp in the neighboring truck stop, but it was cold and we needed the electricity. I would not recommend this campground.
We stayed for 2 nights in this campground and I have to say we were very impressed! Our site was a pull through site with a great view of the river. It was level, had a well kept grass lawn and we found it to be spacious enough for us. Our coach is 40' and we were pulling a car, however we followed their directions to the large vehicle turn around area and did not have any trouble maneuvering when we left. I was confused by the earlier review that mentioned trains, as we did not hear any train noise, nor did we see any evidence of trains nearby (I am thinking that maybe he posted a review for the wrong campground here?). Overall the only thing I can think that they might need to improve is a few of the roads that have some potholes in them, but other than that we loved Tall Pines.
