I wrote the review on May 2008 about the attitude of the staff being poor. We just got home from camping here again, (We have good friends nearby), and I must say that the attitude of the staff is greatly improved. Also they had a great all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturday morning with really nice people.
This campground is a very nice facility with large sites, and nicely landscaped property. The bathrooms are REALLY nice, as they are individual rooms with a shower, sink and shower, kind of like a hotel. They are located in the lower portion of the campground only, but we were told that they would like to have them in the front as well. The only reason that this review is not a 10 is because the staff all had an attitude. We have camped for many years, and have never encountered people so rude. We stayed for one night before the real season had started. The place was pretty empty, but they put us right next to another camper. Unacceptable.
Beautiful scenery...the bathroom facilities were unacceptable. There were wild rabbits running all around this place...even through the big puddles that were created when it rained. The man staffing the office was really nice and helpful. There is also a newspaper article hanging in the office about how the campground needed to be evacuated a few years back due to both creeks cresting their banks...interesting story, but questionable marketing practice to have it hanging in the office.
This is by far the best campground that we have ever stayed in. We have two boys, 4 and 2, who are...let's say active. There are more than enough activities to tire out the boys. The bus that takes you to the beach is always staffed by an incredibly nice driver who is more than eager to chat about the local sites and scenery. We stay here for a week every year, and count the days until next years trip. The bathrooms are clean and air conditioned, and the camp store sells EVERYTHING including beer and wine at very fair prices. We cannot say enough great things about the place...so we will stop there.
