Friendly staff and pretty park. We like to have evening shade to sit out and eat dinner. Couldn't do that at this park because all sites have evening sun and there are no picnic tables. Lovely trees provide some shade and the patches of grass are pretty but you can't put anything on it. I do think the price is high but we would stay here again if we were in this area.
This is a lovely park. Located south of Colorado Springs but easy to drive to any of the sights. Staff and owner were very friendly and helpful. Our dogs loved the dog park and we all loved the mule deer that visited every evening. Sites were separated by trees and not cramped. We would stay here again.
This is a wonderful state park. We liked it so much we extended our stay. Many historic buildings to tour and a natural history museum. Sites were generous; one campground has full hookups. Staff was friendly. Saw bison, prong horns and deer. Great place for hiking and trial riding. Lots of activities in the summer but we enjoyed the quiet in the fall. We would stay here again.
Nice destination park for families but we don't use most of the amenities so it is an expensive place for us. We were not happy when told we could not put up a small pen for our two small dogs. They also wanted to charge $10 if our friend visited our RV. Will only stay here again if we can't find someplace else.
Nice park with friendly staff. Since we were staying 1 night, they gave us the last pull-through site. Rating reflexes the lack of full hookups and other amenities. Still a very nice park for a day or so. Liked walking the dogs in this huge park. Too bad some of the seasonal folks leave their dogs off leash. We would stay here again.
Nice park for a few nights. Staff was friendly and helpful. While not huge, sites are farther apart than in many parks. Wi-Fi was very good; our dogs enjoyed the dog park. Noise from I-90 is an obvious feature of any park with quick access from the freeway. We did think it was tacky to charge $2 for a 9-hole badly maintained mini-golf course. A good choice if you are traveling through this area. We would stay here again.
Our visit did not start well as owner was argumentative about Passport America rules. He still gave us the PA rate but was not happy about doing so. Roads are dirt and in poor repair so drive slowly when entering and around the park. Sites are very close - too close for our liking. Wi-Fi was good. It was a quiet, family park. Some seasonal units are in bad condition which makes the park look tired. Bathroom was okay but needs to be cleaner and really needs to be replaced. Overall we were not pleased but might consider staying here again for one night.
This is a very spacious park - the widest interior roads of any park we have been in. The lots are also large. Enjoyed our stay as the folks here are very friendly. We liked it so much, we decided to get on the waiting list for a lot.
This is a nice park for staying close to Atlanta. A bit tired but wide spaces and friendly, helpful owners. Pet policy prohibited us from using our exercise pen which was inconvenient. Long term/ permanent residents are restricted to one dog but owner did allow our two dogs. Rate is based on monthly rate. We would stay here again.
Hosts and owner are very nice. Nice area to walk the dogs and some shaded spots. Wi-Fi is only available in the office, so I don't think they should state there is Wi-Fi. Could only get Passport America rate for 2 nights and only in electric/water only sites. Still this was a nice park and we would stay there again.
Very nice owners and liked this park. There is a large area to walk dogs. Would have rated it higher if owner didn't shut the gate at 6 pm (why??). This was very inconvenient. We would stay here again if in the area.
Pretty park. Owner is very nice and helpful. Too bad he had to park most rigs right next to one another even though there were lots of empty spaces. Laundry room is small and cramped, but adequate. Too bad that this is so close to I-75 and the most active railroad tracks we've ever experienced. Appreciated the Escapee rate. Stayed a week, but probably will only stay here again for a night or two due to the road and train noise.
Owners are very nice and helpful. Nice park with level sites. WiFi is good most of the time. Only wish they would replace old, worn picnic tables and add fire rings. We stayed here for two months and enjoyed our stay; we would stay here again.
We stayed in the "rally" section with Escapees. Nice place for a rally. Only complaints are: sites do not have any extras - no fire ring, picnic table, cable or WiFi. WiFi is available in main service building which is closed in the evenings (you can still pick it up from the parking lot). Our group was treated very well by the owners and I would stay there again for another rally. I don't think we would stay there if not at a rally but it would be fine for a few nights.
