This is an old mobile home park that is using empty spaces for RV's. Roads were narrow and tight for big rigs and it is best to un-hook your tow vehicle before trying to get to your site. The park was clean, right off the freeway and convenient to everything in Ft. Myers. We stayed here using Passport America and found the manager to be one of the nicest park managers we have come across while traveling. Would stay again for a short visit.
The site was grass and crushed coral. The interior roads were ok for a 40 ft motor home towing a car and easy to maneuver. This is the only campground on the island and is close to everything. It is a little walk from the park to the beach, which is beautiful and great for shelling. Everyone was very friendly and we would stay here again for sure.
Was more out of the way then we planned, but was very quiet and had very friendly managers. Actually my husband really liked it and said it was a place he would stay at for a few months. The people that stay here seasonally, were very nice and made us feel right at home. You are right on the Little Manatee River and our site was on a small lake. An older park but the people keep it very clean.
We stayed here 5 nights using Passport America. We had friends join us, and they were accommodating on getting our friends the site next to us. Our site was very nice with concrete slabs, though there are some that are grass or dirt. It was very quiet, close to Historic St. Augustine and we loved the Flea market on the weekends, a real Flea market. We would definitely stay here again.
