Was disappointed in this park. The reviews and website made it look like great place after a long day on the road. We called ahead before arriving and ask if they had a site close to the pool and store. They assured us they would hold the site. When we got there, the only open site was in the back of this huge park. But they told us there was a no show close to the front. We were only staying one night, leaving by noon, and at this time is was after 10:00 so we took this site. During the night, the no show arrived, and the park management forgot about the deal we made. They were very, very rude to us threatening to pull my truck & 5er off the site is we didn't leave immediatly! This could be a nice RV resort, the facilities are nice, pool and laundry were great. But it is being transformed into a bunch of permanent sites with park models. There were a handful of park models across from our site open for sale. From what I saw, they cater to the "in crowd" that have the park models. If you are coming through to stay in a site for a night or two, they care less about your needs, and they weren't shy to let it show. The only sites slated for "weekenders" are at the back of the campground, far away from the pool, store, ect. This is a shame, there are few good parks left, and this could be one of them.
Great campground, very clean facilities, professional staff. It is a very quiet part of the Amish area of the state. Wi-Fi worked great, cabins were well kept. Have been here on a yearly basis and will return again. There is a community campfire ring that gives a closeness to all that stay here. Not much for kids to do, but there is a water park in town just a few miles away. Great place!!!!
This is one of our favorite Oklahoma State Parks. The better sites are on Gobbler Ridge. The pool was very clean, and there are two slides. The sites are big and well kept, but some of the pads are small or hard to get into. The electricity and water pressure were good. The staff was friendly. There are activities for the kids to do. The restrooms are outdated and were dirty.
Nice park. Clean facilities. Not a lot of amenities as far as a pool, ect; but it is a quiet park and the rangers were very helpful. The restrooms could use some updating, they were clean but old. Very scenic area, will stay here again.
We stayed here one night which was enough. We chose this because it had a pool, restaurant, wi-fi, full hookups etc. When we got there, the pool was closed and didn't reopen till check out the next day. We asked if they could let us in the pool before 1:00 which was the usual opening time since we were leaving, but the owners refused to let us in. The wi-fi signal was very weak. Most web sites I couldn't access because of low signal strength. I asked the owner where the antenna was so I could get a better signal, and it was on the roof of the restroom which was only a couple sites from where we were. The owner claimed the problem was with my laptop, but I didn't have trouble at other campgrounds or "hot spots". There were only a couple other units at the campground, so the restaurant was closed. The grounds were clean, and the utilities were usable. I had hoped for a better stop over based on the reviews I had read, but was disappointed. The staff wasn't friendly, and it was over-priced for what we got in return.
Wow, what a great campground. We stayed here for four nights while visiting Zion Natioanl Park. It looks great on their website, and the actual campground lives up to what you see there. The place is spotless clean. They have a maintanence crew that spends hours each day cleaning the park. Sites are level concrete pads, with gravel and concrete porch area outside your door and a small grassy area at your site that is watered nightly. There were some back in sites there weren't concrete, but they were still very nice with small gravel that wasn't dusty. The pool and spa were more than adequate and clean. A huge store that sells many essentials and has huge coolers for pop, beer, meat, dairy products ect at reasonable prices. The interior roads are all paved. The owners are RVers, and it shows that this park was designed by RVers for the enjoyment of RVers. All the staff working there went out of their way to make us feel at home. The only problem with this park is that there is only one of these, to bad there isn't a chain of these. If I could have rated it higher, I would.
This is an old KOA in need of some major updates. The sites are very small, no privacy at all. Our slide was only inches from our neighbor, and we shared a common utility post, so when he disconnected, he continually rubbed against our camper and sprayed water all over the side of our unit since he didn't have much room. The restrooms were clean, but very dated. The laundry equipment was in need of repair, wi-fi was very weak. Most sites were stone and only a couple sites had any grass, so we tracked a lot of gravel in our camper. The pluses were the pool was nice, the store was stocked well, the owners/workers tried to help.
Nice park in the Moab area, the biggest plus is its location close to the "downtown strip" and proximity to restaurants and shops. There were only a couple others I would consider staying at, but a lot more I would not visit. Wi-Fi was a little slow, pool was drained and refilled when we got there so it was clean, but cold. Restrooms were only cleaned once a day, but with a park this size they should have been given more attention. Concrete pads were nice, but gravel interior roads were dusty. Owners and staff were helpful and courteous. A nice touch is after a customer leaves, the staff comes to each site to clean it and wash down the pad and immediate surrounding gravel.
Nice place for a nightly stopover. Clean facilities, good Wi-Fi, spotless restrooms, owners were vary nice, easy access to the Interstate without a lot of traffic noise. Gravel roads and sites, so it can be dusty or muddy if it rains, playground equipment needs updated. Most sites were small as is typical of older campgrounds. Didn't get to use the pool, so I cannot comment. We stayed here a couple years as we headed out on vacation, so we decided to stop again.
