Have stayed here many times, but was disappointed this time around. The prices went up, but the grounds didn't seem as clean and kept up, as in the past. Saw employees driving around a lot, but not really doing much. Probably won't go back, at least not for quite some time.
The sites are huge. A very quiet place. Sure wish the state would make the hosts clean up their site and register their RV. Previous host kept the site very neat and was very friendly. Prices went up, but this price reflects a discount for Nevada residents. Will stay here again.
I was honestly expecting more. When we arrived I had a coupon for pay for one night and second night was free. I was told that it had expired. Okay. Not a problem, but the rate was more for one night. Then for this place not being real old I felt the lake was disgusting. I would never swim in it. It wouldn't take much to go around the edges and get rid of some of the crap and debris. The paddle boats looked worn. I thought this was sad because they will probably not do anything to keep them up and eventually they won't have them for people to use. The playground is in need of some fixing up. A good coat of paint might help. Couldn't believe you have to walk through sites to get to the playground. There was a mixture of people. Some were nice and some were rude. I think it's sad when you have a young child and you are trying to get them in the pool by the steps and older people are sitting or standing at the steps and won't move. There were three different areas with steps and older people were either standing or sitting right in the way at each one of them.( I know this isn't the fault of the establishment). The gift shop could use some help. How about some postcards of the area and not Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon? Liked the site we had. Looks like they are letting people live there full time. My husband took a walk over to the casino and said it smelled of smoke. Sorry, but I was a little disappointed.
Nice, quiet campground. This place has huge sites so you have plenty of privacy. It's a distance to the water, but if you want peace and quiet it's a great place. They have a nice day use area. We have stayed here many times and we almost always have the place to ourselves. There's never been more than a few people there when we are. Friendly staff.
This was a family vacation. We had people in tents, RV's and even a motel room. The RV site was on a slope. It was dangerous coming out of the RV because of the slope. Also I couldn't believe that having a picnic table made for a deluxe site. There were were lots of weeds. You were expected to put your tent on lava rocks. I thought the motel rooms were very expensive for what they had to offer. The outside light was out and we asked a few times if it could be fixed. I was abruptly told, that management had been told about it. It wasn't fixed for a whole week. I would think they would worry about safety. I was a little surprised by the attitude of the people. It's sad because it could be a real nice place. I used to be in the hospitality business so I was really taken back by the attitudes. Sad to say, but one of the least impressive places we've stayed when it comes to accommodations and hospitality.
