We stayed here for four days (Monday-Thursday) and really enjoyed it. Not crowded through the week, which was very nice. Had a pull-through site that was very level and no one on either side of us. I can't remember the name of the loop we stayed in but it was at the marina with a nice beach for the kids and a volleyball net on the beach. Bathrooms were very clean. The view of the lake was very nice. We will definitely return. I would imagine it would be very crowded on the weekends as Steamboat is only 16 miles away...also a very nice spot to visit.
We stayed here for the month of February and liked the park just fine. The only thing that was very frustrating was there was no Verizon cell coverage anywhere in the park. The internet service was spotty, but workable. There are two sides to this park, one that is paved with grass sites and larger sites to accommodate the big rigs and the side with big beautiful oak trees and sand, which were nice, but when it rained we had about 5 inches of water surrounding our trailer. It didn't take very long for it to drain, just a minor inconvenience. Spaces are pretty close to one another, but we had nice neighbors, so that was no problem. This is a very quiet park and very pet friendly, and all the dog owners were very good about picking up after their pets. The winter Texans are very welcoming and friendly. Very nice to walk down to the observation deck and look out at the ocean. Bathrooms and laundry rooms very clean. Their pier is in need of work, and their handyman was always busy, but never too busy to say hello and make conversation. The office girls were extremely helpful and nice. We will be back next year and will stay here again. Would most likely recommend to others.
We were very pleases with this campground. We stayed in the Pecan grove loop and were the only one's there! There are large pecan and oak trees and pecans all over. Nice size and private spaces. Sites are all paved and flat and easy to get into. Bathrooms were very clean and lot's of hot water for showers. Good internet & good cell service with Verizon. Lake is about 2 miles away and would be very nice to spend the day, if it had more water, but with their drought conditions this past year that explains the lack of water. Nice little grocery store in Tuscola with very good prices and very nice people. Walmart was about 15 to 20 miles away.
Ok, we were going to stay here for one night, something with full hook ups, etc. Are you kidding me? This place is a DUMP! We drove through and thought we must have the wrong place: nope. This was the most trashy place I have ever set my eyes on. Needless to say, we did not even stop, I wouldn't have even let my dogs out at this place. You would be beyond desperate to EVER stay here!
A nice campground. A little rough around the edges but still a nice little place. The owners couldn't be nicer. Gravel/dirt pads and pretty level. Sites are a little close together. If your in a Mega motor home it may seem a bit tight in spots, but we had no problem. Some sites are right on rock creek. We've seen deer in the park and we hear that moose are in the area. This park gives the appearance that it is right on the road and there are some sites that are, but the majority of the sites are down in back by the creek with nice shade trees, we heard very little road noise. We would come back here if we are ever in the area again. It has water and electric and no sewer but they do have a dump station and my internet came in very good also very good Verizon cell service.
just an OK place to stop for the night, only water and electric no sewer, but that was OK as they had a dump station. Grass was weeds...but it was green so that was OK also. Bathrooms left a lot to be desired, no where to put cloths or toiletries, shower needed a good good cleaning...I choose to use my Barbie bath instead of their bathrooms, but my husband used theirs and wasn't impressed at all. Right on the highway, but no problem with noise for us. Would only stay here again if we were desperate.
A very quiet park, trees and grass. We were on the back side and it had some very nice views. Owners were very helpful and nice. The bathrooms and showers were excellent and very clean. We saw the woman owner out picking up any little piece of trash...and there wasn't any to begin with and visiting with the people. WiFi worked well outside but not at all in the trailer, but that was OK and was no problem for us. They also had water jets on a concrete area for the kids to play in and I believe a nice play area for kids. We will stay here again. Price was with a Good Sam discount.
This park is beautiful! We only stayed one night but will be sure to stay for at least a week in the future. Very clean throughout the park. Bathrooms were nice and the landscaping makes you feel like you're in the rain forest. Just beautiful. Blackberries growing all over so we picked a bunch and made a fresh blackberry cobbler! Would highly recommend this park to everyone.
We chose to stay here before the park officially opened for the summer. They only had two bathrooms open and the only water we found was located near the dump station which was fine for us, but they still expected you to pay the $7.00 per car per day in addition to the nightly camping fee of $22.00! The showers were not open nor was the laundry so really there were no amenities available. At one point we had three cars and it was a total of $43.00 a night. It is a nice campground but not worth the price. Heck, we could have stayed at a private campground with full hookups for that price. It was early and there were only 3 other campers in the entire park, so that was very nice.
This is a great park. When we were here it was full and every campsite had at least 2-3 dogs(hopefully you are dog friendly). This was one of the quietest parks we have been in, we were amazed. Just a short walk over the dunes and you are on a beautiful beach. The weather was beautiful...fog in the am and beautiful in the afternoon. Verizon worked very well. Sites were nice size but not real private, but that didn't present a problem for us. We stayed for 3 days and would have liked to stay a couple more. Roads are paved and can be tight in some places, but overall just fine. The only thing missing was sewer, but no big deal for a few days. Will be back for sure.
Very nice park. Clean and quite. There are no hook ups but that was not a problem for us. Located on Flalthead lake they have a nice day area and boat launch. We have stayed at several other places in the area with full hook ups but we will come back to Wayfarers over the others any day. Nice shady spots and a couple of sunny sites also. Close to the Flat head Lake brewery which is a must to try, very nice to sit and talk to the locals, also a very good hamburger can be found at te Garden Bar restaurant in the quaint little town of Bigfork.
This was a great find and for the price of $23.00 with full hookups it can't be beat. Great space between neighbors with privacy fences. Wonderful play area for the little ones. Very dog friendly. Beautiful green grass maintained like a park. Nice walking path along the Columbia river. Bathrooms were a bit dated but extremely clean. A great place I would recommend to everyone. We will be back for sure. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer.
