Very well kept campground. Owners are very friendly and professional. We were given fresh eggs from their chicken coop upon check in. Camp sites are very well groomed and level. Wi-Fi was excellent. Very limited satellite sites available due to very large oak trees and no cable. Washrooms and showers were spotless. Wood scuptures on site were very unique. Our dog loved the place. Will definitely stay again!
Check in was fast and friendly. Park seemed to be filled mostly with seasonal sites. Our site was graveled and level. Cable and Wi-Fi were included in price and worked well. Satellite might be a problem due to trees in most of the area, but there were a couple of dishes pointed to the air while we were there. Each washroom booth is made up of a toilet, sink and shower. They were small but were pretty clean and adequate. Overall the park seemed to be kept in good shape. They also have a large fenced dog park to run your pooch. Will stay again if in the area.
This is so far the best KOA I have stayed at. Everything about it is a 10. You walk into the restrooms, and they are like walking into a spa. Incredibly clean! Not like any other KOA I have been too. The campground itself is very well groomed and clean. Each site comes with a table and umbrella. And being located next to a casino makes it even better. We called for a shuttle, and it was there within 5 minutes. The KOA desk clerk even signed us up for a players card. There is no fear for staying here. You will not regret. We will be back.
This is basically a parking lot with electric hookups. But it is a well maintained parking lot with well stripped and numbered sites. The first night is free if you have a players club card, which is not hard to get. Registration is in the gift shop. There is no water or sewer. Plenty of area for pooch to do her thing too. Nice casino to gamble, and the buffet was good. Constant shuttles back and forth to the casino were happening, though it was not that far of a walk. We will definitely stay again.
Nice park and close to St Louis. I wish people would quit complaining about city noise. When you camp in metropolis, you are going to get noise. Park is very clean and seemed to be well maintained. Our site was level and large. Washrooms and showers were very clean. There was a restaurant on site but was closed due to New Years day Holiday. Will definitely stay again.
Campground was nice. Sites were level with concrete and groomed stone pads. Winter rates was only 12 dollars per day, but only electric was available. Washrooms and shower building was closed for the season. Check in is at the hotel and the attendant seemed nice and friendly. The casino is at least a two block walk through the parking lot, but a shuttle bus will pick you up at your campsite with just a phone call. The bus took only five minutes to arrive after phoning. Will definitely stay again!
Campground was nice, and personnel were friendly; however, we thought it was kind of pricey. And there was no cable at our site for that price. Our site was level and well groomed; however, our picnic table could have used some work. The showers and washrooms were very clean; however, the shower valves did not work well and the water was either too hot or too cold. After some practice, we got them to work. The facility is very dog friendly with plenty of room to walk your pooch. Wi-Fi worked well. Campground is also very close to Pikes Peak. Overall we will stay again.
Our main concern when going to campgrounds is how clean the washrooms and showers are, since we only camp in a van and have no such facilities. This place did not disappoint. The sites were a little close, but we did not notice because of the shrubbery in between our site. The campground was a little more rustic than others we have stayed at, but being surrounded by mountains fit the mood. The site personnel were very friendly, and they have an ice cream social every night for $1.50. The hummingbirds put on a nice show also. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Personnel were nice and pleasant upon check in. Campground was level and well maintained. There is a rolling creek that runs through the campground which was very nice. The views of the surrounding mountains from our camp site were also pleasant. The washrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. It also has a laundry facility. Wi-Fi was very slow and sometimes non- workable. Campground is within walking distance to the town of Ouray. Would definitely stay again!
When we read on the KOA website, that this campground received the 2012 Presidents award, we thought it had to be good, and it was! The owners were very nice and very helpful to your needs. All sites were level and well groomed gravel. Cable TV had a lot of channels, and the WiFi was very fast. The washrooms and showers were spotless. The pool was small but big enough to cool you off. Plenty of grounds to walk our dog. Would definitely return when passing through again!
