This park, that receives straight "10's" from another review site, doesn't receive 10's from us. It is clean, I suppose pretty to some, and apparently has lots of amenities, which we didn't use or see. The sites are separated by large well kept hedges but they are crammed one on top of the other. You can't see 10 feet to the right or left and just the street in front. To us, it felt like the most crowded apartment complex ever with some greenery. The sites and street are so tight it was a miracle my husband got our 29' fifth wheel backed in. Lots of permanent residents, their sites are well kept. Lots of summer visitors--sort of a very crowded resort. There was a large grassy dog park which was a welcome amenity for our dogs. To me the price was outrageous and to my eye, the park is not pretty. To others, perhaps it is.

We have stayed at this park, off and on, for 15 years. It is immaculately clean, shaded by large trees, has wonderful staff, and has an off leash, fenced dog area big enough for our golden retriever and german shepherd. When we called to say we were on our way from Southern Oregon, staff advised us that there were many fires along Highway 5 and didn't want us to get "stuck." He said he would advise us if he got more information. Upon arrival, as we got through easily, he couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. When told that it was our wedding anniversary he offered and gave us a bottle of champagne that was in his fridge. Such warmth and friendliness. Mountain Gate is a great place for an over night or for a week as it is close to the recreational opportunities of the city of Redding (5 miles south) or Lake Shasta (a short drive north.) We recommend Mountain Gate!

We stop at this park on all trips across Nevada on Highway 80. Easy in, easy out. It's a good place for a night. I gave it a 6 as a rating because I don't like the desert and Winnemucca is right in the middle of desert. There are shade trees and ample sites. Staff is friendly. Thousands of BLM acres just across the street for walking a dog.

This is a very spacious, extremely tidy, beautifully landscaped, friendly park. We had been in Idaho, a snowstorm rolled in and we decided to get to civilization while we still could. Us and about 20 others at the same time. The staff were remarkable. They handled everyone with courtesy and good humor. We had some specific requests for where we were to be placed in the park. They not only gave us what we asked for but, they were apparently very happy to do so! Located just a couple blocks from town, the park was very quiet. The sites are well-positioned and large so there was never a feeling of being crowded. Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park is a wonderful jumping off place for trips in to Yellowstone because the west entrance is just a couple of blocks away. I highly recommend this park.

This park was lovely. Situated by the river with mature shade trees and lots of green grass. The staff were particularly helpful. The town of Dubois is surprisingly interesting, the Bighorn Mountain Sheep Interpretive Center is not to be missed, as is the local historical museum which stages its artifacts in authentic log cabins brought to the site from throughout the county. We will definitely return.

This is our all time favorite RV park! We use it as the standard for rating other parks. What we like is that it's miles off the main road, really out in the middle of nowhere, quiet and beautiful. One can walk to Henry's Lake, look at the mountains, enjoy the wildlife when they come by. It's just wonderful. We were on our way to Yellowstone and planned to stay one night. We were enjoying ourselves so much we stayed two more nights! Can't wait to return.

The park is friendly, lots of green grass, situated along a creek. The only downside is that it is very close to the road and experiences quite a bit of road noise. That was disappointing. All else was good. Right down the road, 3/10's of a mile, is the Wolf Lodge Restaurant with some of the best food we have had in recent memory. They specialize in steaks, cooking them on a grill in the middle of the dining room. Big, juicy and well seasoned. We ate for 3 days on the leftovers!

We loved Mountain Meadow RV Park. The sites are widely situated among the forest with the naturally growing plants (many wild roses). It's like being deep in the forest, very quiet! We loved that it was situated centrally. We took trips to Glacier (15"), Hungry Horse Dam, Whitefish, Kalispell and Columbia Falls. For the 4th of July, the owners put on a spectacular fireworks display and all the Huckleberry ice cream one could eat. The view from the pond area is awesome. We hope to return to Mountain Meadow soon and enjoy it all once again!
