This is a wonderful campground. We bought the 2 night package which included 2 days of admission to the park and its attractions. Easy check in and friendly staff. Nice pool and recreation area for children. Had a shuttle to take you to the various park attractions so no need to drive. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean campground with large sites. Price was very good. We stayed here 3 nights waiting on a reservation elsewhere, but certainly enjoyed it here. Convenient to Charleston with much to do and see. Nice looking pool, but it was always to cool to use it even in July. We would stay here again.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. Private sites are situated so that entry and exit is easy. Good TV reception and Wi-Fi. Does not have a pool but a wonderful water park across the road with lazy river, pool and water slides. Favorite feature for us was the off leash dog park with beach area. Our dog loved it and she usually doesn't get on well with other dogs. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Campground fee also provided free admission to the County beaches as well. Don't miss if in the area. Reservations are advisable although each night we were there it appeared to have a few sites available.

We loved this place. Not cheap by a long shot, but definitely resort like amenities. We did the beach in the morning, the pool and lazy river in the p.m. Site size was fine (expected to be a bit small) but each site had a structure with a roof to provide some shade if needed. Location in relation to MB attractions was good. We spent 5 nights here and would have stayed longer with reservations. Reserve early.

We were very surprised and pleased by our one night stay at this lovely park. We camped right on the lake which had a nice walking trail around the perimeter. The park also features a water play area if you have children. The Rotary Club has placed several big play areas around the lake as well. Friendly staff. We talked with the camp hoist for about 45 minutes when they came to collect the fees. When they told me the senior rate was $9. I felt guilty but didn't offer to pay more.

A little more site room than the typical KOA. Very friendly and helpful office staff. Even brought firewood to the site after the office was closed and we needed the firewood as it was cool even in late June. Really enjoyed Asheville, nice walking tour of downtown. We would stay here again.

One of the nicest COE campgrounds we've ever stayed at and all the COE's we've been to have been nice. Very friendly gate hosts. Big, beatiful sites with nicely lanscaped areas. We stayed in site 41 right by the water and it was great. Only stayed one night as we had other obligations, but next will stay longer.

This was a nice campground for the money. Spaces were a bit tight to maneuver into with a 34ft 5er but we were able to get in okay. Enjoyed the pool and the location of the CG in relation to area attractions. Staff was not real friendly but did no interact with them after check-in.

Treeless, gravel parking lot with Wi-Fi. You'd do better at Wal-Mart. We had to be in Corsicana for two days so tried it - won't again.

We have stayed many places in Branson including the highly touted ABC Campground. This was a very nice place. As previous reviewer stated, the back of the park has pull through sites with lots of trees and space. I too had to do a bit of maneuvering in order to level up, and it was a tight turn in, but once in it was great. Pool was clean and warm. Good Wi-Fi and cable TV. We would stay here again.

This is a beautiful park with in a valley with large trees. A bit tight of a fit for our 34 ft. 5th wheel but just had to be careful. Has a nice public pool with an admission charge. Great for trout fishing.

Very nice campground located on Grand Lake. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived after the office closed, but someone came right out to get us a spot. Nice size sites. We have a jetski and they had excellent lake access with a ramp and dock (free). Wi-Fi was good. No cable but excellent over the air TV reception.

I was a bit nervous after reading the previous review, but we needed a park in the area, and so tried the Basswood Resort. It was delightful. It was very clean. A very busy weekend yet a quiet place to stay. Would be wonderful for families with children as the pool and water play area are both very nice. There is an area in the middle of the park that is for longterm stays and it is a bit rundown and messy, but for short terms all the areas are great.

Nice, clean campground with friendly quick check-in. We stayed two days and wanted access to the Riverwalk by bus. You can get the bus right out in front. We enjoyed the pool. Sites were level and roomy enough.

We would stay here again, but it is over priced. Cramped sites typical of a KOA. Friendly, quick check-in. WIFI and cable tv. Pool was very crowded and the second day, they couldn't open the pool until 3:00 due to chemical problems.

Would be a 10, except that sewer hookups are only available in part of the campground and at this price should be everywhere. Wifi is a recent addition and it worked great (free). Lovely, large sites most with shade trees. Close to great shopping, dining, and Grapevine is a neat little town with lots of small, unique shops.

This is a beautiful, spacious park. We visited in June of 2007 as we are scouting out a place to be a Winter Texan. This fits the bill. Great facilities, close to shopping, but secluded at end of the road so no highway noise. Next to a golf course. Will definitely consider this one of two or three parks for future winters. It was very empty in June.

Campground is clean and professionally managed. It is a KOA and located next to interstate so some traffic noise. Good overnight stop - but that's about it. Wi-fi is unusable. Long delays in loading or no loading at all. They have an on-site cafe that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and we had breakfast which was quick, cheap and good.

A beautiful if bit pricey campground. Wanted to stay closer to Glenwood Springs but other parks were full so drove 10 miles farther to Elk Creek. Groceries available at I-70 exit and campground is about 4 miles north. Lots of big trees and a nice running creek spans the property. Only drawback is the price with no pool, wi-fi, etc.

The campground was a nice two night stop for us as we wanted to visit Amarillo and Palo Duro Canyon. Park is clean and they have down a lot of landscaping. Sites close to the office are the most developed as we were place farther away (due to business) and site was just a large graveled pull through with no picnic table, grass or slab. Would have preferred a site with the patio or grass pads, however, we did not make a reservation. It looks like the owners, who were very nice and helpful, are continuing to develop park. Laundry was clean, cable TV was basic but good picture, and WIFI was excellent. Owner told me he had place a second router in the east side of the park and it was as fast as being at home. We enjoyed our visit to Amarillo and this park. One final thing, don't hesitate to call the Big Texan for limo service to their restaurant. One reviewer called it a tourist trap and it certainly is - we were tourists and had a delightful evening. They gave excellent service - picked us up at the time we requested. Had a 30 minute wait for a table (not bad on Saturday night) and a good and reasonably priced meal. Also got to watch 2 young men try to eat the 72 ounce steak. Upon leaving the restaurant, they had four limos waiting to take guests home. Both drivers, to and from, were friendly and informative.

Location is excellent for all Dallas and Ft. Worth attractions. Would recommend you make a reservation if you want a sewer hookup as they are usually full. W/E hookups were readily available when we were there. Completely paved and level sites, with good landscaping and some shade. Newer sites are without shade. We thought the price was a bit high for only water and electric. Like other reviewer, we agree that the addition of a small swimming beach would be a real plus. Lake is down due to drought.

I think this would be a great park for a pop-up or small camper. It is not good for anything longer than 30 feet. We have a 34 ft. 5th wheel and that size units are parked at the top in a corral. It is difficult to get to the top due to switchback curves and then once there, if crowded (and it was) it is very difficult to position your camper in the small site. Shade in this area is provided by other campers as they are right next to you. On the positive side, access to Rocky Mountain National Park is good and camp workers were very friendly. Without them I probably would not have got into the site. Again, it would be my only choice with a pop-up or small unit, but will not stay there again with large unit. Wi-fi and cable tv were very good.

Facilities were excellent. Individual showers, bathrooms, vanities. Beautiful pools. The office had hundreds of movies available for check out. We were only there one night but would like to return when it is warm enough to use the pool. It was the best of 3 Texas campgrounds we were in during one week in March 2006. Best price as well.

This campground was a little pricey given the quality of sites and amenities. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Good location for Dallas access which we needed.

This was a nice campground with great access to the Alamo, Mercado, etc. via city bus service right at the entrance. Campground gave us information sheets on which line to ride, how to transfer, and times of departure from both the campground and downtown. San Antonio bus service was excellent and times were correct. Staff was helpful and friendly. Did not use facilities as the weather was a bit cold. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here three weekends in the fall of 2005. We did not think the campground was nearly as poor as the other reviewer. Kind of liked the sounds of train traffic - can lull you to sleep. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Nice shade. It is a typical KOA so sites are close together and a bit pricy. Very good location to downtown Lawrence which is a wonderful place to spend a fall afternoon.

This is a really nice state park campground. It borders a large lake, but the lake is hidden by the trees from the campground. It is a bit of a walk from parking area to swimming beach. Wonderful location just west of Lawrence. No cable tv but good reception from Topeka and Kansas City.
