Very nice park. We parked in a 5er. They have separate sites for Motorhomes and trailers. Roads are pretty good, some sites have pads but most are graveled and fairly level. The front row is right on the river for good barge viewing. Nice new laundry included in the fees. Large grassy area for throwing balls etc. No shade nor fire rings but do have tables. Very clean and quiet. This is our second time here and will probably be back.

Nice "basic" C.G. Good interior roads )a little narrow) and level WIDE spaces. Price was with senior Golden Pass. We have a 36' 5er, was a little difficult backing into the space (trees), but once in, plenty of space. Very clean, and in space 44, had a great view of the lake. Well maintained. Good reservation web site (reservations.gov) I think.

Smaller park, just two rows, with preference to buses. They get the front row next to the river, trailers on the second row. Quite nice, good paved road and level concrete pads. Nice office complex. Wide spaces with tables. Very clean and up to date (this is the second year open). A little expensive, but this is the nicest park in the area.

Nice rustic C.G. Laid out on tiered levels, fairly good width sites, will probably need some leveling. Good Wi-fi (new this year). Quiet with easy access to the Parkway.

This is a membership campground, however they will let you "try it" a time or two w/o becoming members. The campground was clean, hook-ups good, roads nicely paved, however narrow, I had a difficult time on some of the curves (36' 5er). Shaded, most of the sites are pretty level. This is an older campground, the sites appear to be not planned out real well. We were told to pick out a site and let them know where we were. We did find a nice end plot. A majority of the sites are permanent "cabins". There was a little highway noise, a few sirens but pretty quiet overall. We would come back if in the area.

I rated this park a 9 because I guess I don't know what to expect from and 10 park. Considering you are in the middle of the desert - literally - this is probably the nicest park we have stayed in. You park at an angle, into a level nicely landscaped 40X80 graveled spot with a new table and concrete pad. This park was built in 2000, and is very modern. You can see for many miles in every direction, and I never knew there were so many stars up there at night! As quiet as you will find except for some loud motorcycles in the early evening sometimes. Great staff. We extended our stay here and wish we could have stayed another month.

Nicely laid out. Spacious level concrete sites, with grass in between, with paved roads to get you to the site. No shade. Convenient hook-ups. They have a shuttle to get you to the restaurant (or what-ever). Plenty of room to take out the pooch (with no stickers).

Pretty nice CG. Most sites alternate between concrete pad and grass. When we were here, few chose the grass so there was plenty of space between sites. If there were RVs on the grass next to us, the sites would be pretty close. Sites were level and easy to get in. Roads were the heavy (sharp) gravel, with some pot holes. Park was clean and essentially well kept up. There were burrs most everywhere (including the pet runs) so Fido didn't much like that. You could see the river traffic from sites around 100 to 112. Park was in a slightly seedy area, but we didn't feel any security menace. No highway noise, but there was some kind of a processing plant nearby that produces a low "moaning" sound (ie: a blower), somewhat annoying at night. Cable TV had only 8 channels. WiFi was spotty, but of course, better buy the office. There was nothing to do in Vidalia, but Natchez was just across the river with much more to see. We would come back if the opportunity arose.

The accommodations on I-20 from Birmingham to S.C. are pretty sparse. This C.G. was OK for a night or two. Basic "parking lot" type parking, but spaces are generous. Good hook-ups, concrete parking pads, some grass, good interior graveled roads, easy in/out. The only restroom/shower I saw was in the office, however is was modern and clean. A good piece from I-20, so no highway noise, but some air traffic (it seemed to close to Meridian).

Very nice park. You are escorted to a cleanly swept site with convenient hook-ups. Staff good and helpful. The main office rivals a 4-star hotel. Part was built in 2001 so everything was basically new. Good paved interior roads. You are parked in an alternate (front/rear) pattern with hook-ups in the center of the 2-space area, so your door opens unto a concrete pad with table and nice landscaping. This is a classy park.

This one is O.K for an overnite. Rough interior roads, but the spaces were O.K. and the pull-thru was just long enough for out 36' 5er with the truck. Hook-ups were O.K. also. Older park in the desert. According to the literature, the sites to see are the Post Office, the Caboose visitors center and the library. Stickers everywhere, so it was rough on our pooch.

This is an in-town park. It is older, in an older part of town. That said, we didn't feel any security risk. A little road noise but not bad. Interior roads a little rough but O.K. Sites are pretty wide and level with convenient individulal hook-ups (although the electricity h/u was on the curb side). A concrete pad and table at each site. Good staff. Several miles from I-10 (we got lost). It appears most sites have long-termers. It is convenient to most of the sites here. We would come back if in the area.

This is a brand new park, opened this year. It is still being developed, but you don't see a lot of construction equipment sitting around. It has concrete roads, but a few have have narrow turns. Sites are level concrete with a table, grass and are fairly wide. Laundry nice and clean, but small (two W/Ds), with space for 2 more of each. Nice owners (on site). Can't really see the gulf, but it is within walking distance. Good hook-ups. We would come back.

The accommodations along I-20 are sparse, so we tried this one. It appeared we were the only travelers here, most were construction families with a bunch of kids running around (throwing rocks). Most sites were on grass, but we were parked at the end of the row, in what appeared to be part of the graveled road. It looks like this was an acre carved out of a farm. There was a nice creek running down the back of the property (you can't see it unless you go to it), and plenty of open space for pets (and kids). There was a rustic play-ground. Several miles south of I-20, so no traffic noise. Good hook-ups, we got in and out pretty good with a 36' 5er. I would probably try our first stay at Wal-Mart next time!

Keeping in mind this is in the desert, it's an OK park. Clean sites, utilities a little inconvenient but not bad. Spaces a little close, but level, easy to get into/out of. Staff good. Have a well equipped store, and good dinner and breakfast on site. Good place for one or two night stay-over. Would stay here again.

We didn't stay here, but drove thru it. It was a basic looking park, with not to wide spaces. See Huachuca City, AZ.

This is a basic "concrete jungle" type park with mostly "tin huts" that take RVs so they can obtain the state tax discount. Well kept, fairly wide right angle spaces, fairly easy access to the back-in spaces. Older park but well maintained. Good interior roads. Good place to stay if visiting in the area. This park is probably as good as any in the Phoenix area.

This was an O.K. park, in the desert. Many sites appeared to be taken by long-term construction workers. If you get in the last row, you have a beautiful view of the desert. Hook-ups were convenient, wide spaces on the pull-thurs. Some train noise but not bad. Sites were graveled, and most not to level. Interior roads were good. Park was kept clean. Nice laundry.

Previous post is a good review. Sites are a little close, but we got in OK. This (as are all the "resort" type parks) is mostly a "snow bird" full time park. They have space for RVs, and is in order to gain a tax break from the State. We were in the first "street" inside the park, so some road noise. However, all the "pet" sites are around the perimeter, so not to much choice available. Be sure you confirm with them if you have a pet or you'll have to move (as happened to us last year at a different park). We thought is was a little far away form most of the places you would want to visit, but it's a nice park.

Good place for a one night stay-over for us. It was clean with wide level spaces with easy access. Good hook-ups. It was primarily a boat launch facility/recreation area, but was pretty quiet if you stay away from the lake. As with most areas in the southern part of the country, they had their share of fire ants. Upon reporting this to the office, they came to the site and sprayed them, no problems. We would come back if the opportunity presented itself.

Very nice park. Laid out nicely. Older park but well kept. Lots are pretty wide, and terraced so seems like they are even wider. Trees are kept cut so no problems with low limbs. Good WiFi. Close enough to Hot Springs to go and come easily. Could be a little more attentive to cleaning up after people who haven't learned to clean up after themselves (i.e: cigarette butts, wrappers, etc.). Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Very nice park. We stayed in a new section. No shade, but very close to the Miss. River, you can watch the barges going up and down. The older sites have some shade. Very large spaces here. I believe they only put larger rigs here, since there are no facilities around (which we wouldn't use anyhow). Very well kept grounds and friendly and helpful staff. Convenient hook-ups. Quiet. They had 4 different WiFi hotspots, I had the best reception ever and got right on. A little far from the sites, but again, it was quiet. We would definitely come back here.

Basic overnight type park. Keeping in mind it is in the "high desert", it's OK. Close to I-40, there is highway noise. It was clean, with up-to-date hook-ups, easy in/out. They had some small trees, but no shade. The office was in a portable building, but they are building a new one. They have no directional signs, office clerk said boss didn't want one, but they were pretty full.

Very nice park. Wide level sites, easy in/out. Quiet but easy access from I-40. Nice laundry, 6 each, washer/dryer. A little far from things to do in Oklahoma City, 15mi. Great staff. Would stay here again.

Nice park. Privacy fences on each side of site with table and some grass, nice touch being in the desert. Modern convenient hook-ups with easy in/out. Good areas for dogs. Great store in front. Watch overhang at entrance - 13' max. This is our second stay here and would come back.

Great park for staying and seeing the sites. Close to "Mayberry" and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Trees are kept trimmed, roadways smoothed, lots a little uneven, but owner is trying to fix that. New owners are committed to making this park the best in VA. We have stayed here 3 times and plan to come back.

One of the nicest of dozens of camp grounds we have stayed in. Immaculately clean and well kept. Campground is terraced, giving you a feeling of being in the forest. New owners (since last year) are great to deal with and talk to. Sites are graveled with grass. All have fire rings and picnic tables, parking sites are fairly level. Lots of space to walk the dog. Easy entry and exit. It's hard to understand the poster that rated this CG a (1). They apparently don't read this web site much. They either have no idea of the change in ownership last year or have some kind of an axe to grind. That type of post is counter productive.

We actually did not stay here, but drove thru the park. The park left us with the feeling it was too crowded and poorly laid out. It also looked a little hard to get a larger unit into most of the spaces. We will stay at the KOA when we go back to Boone.

Most spaces are wide enough. Grass with some gravel in the spaces. Most have newer hook-ups. Park was quiet but some highway noise all night. No facilities for kids, plenty of roaming area for the dogs. No store (ie. no wood or ice). Easy entry and exit. We will probably go to the KOA next time.

Great place to spend a week or few relaxing. Sites are unusually wide and well laid-out. Sites are teared and either shaded or mostly sunny, back-ins or pull-thrus are available. The new management has put in a lot of work fixing up the campground, trimming the branches and fixing the roads. Restrooms very clean. Site trash pick-up every couple of days. Plenty of room to walk the dog and for exercise. Managers very friendly and obliging. They even walk the park a couple of times each day to check and see if everything is OK. We'll definitely be back.

Nice well managed park. Friendly personnel. There were some pull-thru's, but they were on top of the park, and not shaded. The back-in's were easy to get into though, mostly shaded and private. Sites were fairly level, and wider than a lot of other parks. Hook-ups easy. Park was teared and had a few steep turns, but I was able to get my 36 footer out OK. I would stay here again.

Very clean, fairly well maintained. Some access and exit roads were a little tight, but we made it OK in a 36' 5er. Terraced spaces were fairly level. We would return again.

Flagstaff has very little greenery, so this park (like all others there) has a lot of red volcanic dust. Hard to keep your dog clean, but this park is quite pet friendly. This park was nice and well maintained. Tending to be more of an adult park, it has several recreation items. Small store, nice laundry set-up and rec. room. Would stay here again. Bring warm clothing. It snowed here the end of April.

Large park with "free" areas, pond etc. Well maintained. Easy escourted parking and hook-ups. Friendly staff. Small store, with restrants close by. A few miles off I-40, but not bad getting there. Would stay there again.

Fairly nice park. In town, so I'm sure there were some limitations on what they could do as far as amenities. Paved roads and parking was on concrete pads. Limited foliage due to the region. Good location for touring the area.

We found this park to be quite nice. Each pull-thru site has some grass (unique in this part of the country), a tree, small privicy fence, and convenient hook-ups. The park is fairly new (3 years), and has a "ranch" theme. Friendly staff and very clean, well maintained. Graveled interior, but not much dust. Pretty wide spaces. Space was level, we didn't need leveling blocks. Would definately come here again.

Nice park to stay on the way to somewhere else, in the middle of no where. Well laided out with easy pull-thru's. Well maintained and clean. Sites not real level, graveled interior. Easy hook-ups. A small store but that's about it. On the plains - windy! Would stay there again, if needed.

This is really a "park model" trailer park that will accept RVs. I believe Phx. parks must take a certain percentage of RVs for tax purpuses, and you got that feeling as you stayed there. It is well maintained and the permenant residents keep their places up well. RVs are interspaces in with the permenant places. The RV lots do not have any greenery, and many appear desolate. Roads are paved, sites gravel on hard dirt, with a concrete pad. Many ammentities and good security. Be sure you let them know if you have a pet. We told them when I made resvn's, and I put it on the reg. card. They escourted me to the space. I hooked up, wheel covers and all. The next there was a knock on the door. Security asked if we had a dog. Upon answering to the affermitive, we were told we had to move. They have designated spaces for people with pets. Basically a whole day wasted taking down and re-setting up with no offer to refund for the day.

Very nice park. Wide pull-thru's, well leveled and maintained and convenient hook-ups. Security (however you must wonder why, the only thing there I saw was a lizard), and nice store. The only draw back was a lot of wind (typical on this stretch and 600 miles east on I-40).

This park in old, surrounded with mostly older permanent trailers. We stayed in the "Good Sam" area, in the rear of the park. It is evident this park is attempting to gain an acceptable rating with G. S. , since they sent us to an obvious newly renovated area. Road was mostly paved with pot holes, gravel pull-thrus. Steep, abrupt exit (I broke the light behind the pin box with the TV tail gate upon leveling out). I think a Wal-Mart lot would have been better.

Pretty close spacing. Fortunately I had an end space, might not have been able to get my 36' 5er into a space in the center of the park. Very nice, clean laundry, concrete patio, paved roads. Staff not to helpful (I wound up parking in the wrong space because of poor site numbering, but they let me stay there). WiFi didn't work.

This park is under new management as of Sept. 2005. Things had somewhat run down, but not bad (parts of the sites and roads were a little rough). New management is great to work with and are improving the park. It is very convenient to I-77 and the Blue Ridge parkway. The spaces are among the larger we have visited. Most of the roads are paved, spaces are graveled. It was nice and quiet and good security.

Easy access, nice and quiet. Graveled roads and spaces, a little soggy in heavy rain. Good spacing on the sites. A little distance off the interstate to get there, but no traffic sounds once you get there. As with many campgrounds, take some ant powder with you. We would go back again.
