Lazy Days is a very large complex. They have a small retail store with supplies. All sites are paved and level, a very clean and friendly complex. Flying J and TA fuel stops & Cracker Barrel are all right here.
Upon arriving at the campground we were told that the wifi and pool were broken. We reserved one of the so called premium sites with a bay view and were escorted to the site by a nice man only to find a very narrow site with a hole dug by the road. We barely fit in the site. We were told to park our jeep behind the rig because there was a large hole dug to the right of site where they were making some kind of a repair and no room for the jeep on side of unit. As it was the only game in town we didn't complain . The view was blocked by a very large boat storage building . Also the whole place smelled like sewage, not just low tide and when we were walking our dog we figured out why . The sewage pumping pit was broken also and the hatch was open the whole length of our stay . This Is an over priced campground that can get away with it because they are the only game in town . The south padre island beach is beautiful and you can drive your 4x4 toad over 28 miles one way on the beach for some awesome surf casting and shelling.
Ho Hum Campground is a wonderful place situated directly on the water. We opted for a pull in, water view site. The site was level, clean, and had a sandy beach . Their is a long fishing pier with a large sitting area where you can watch the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. It's a quiet adult only spot. The bathrooms are neat and clean. The interior roads are level and plenty wide enough for our 44 foot RV . Our dog just loved the place. They even allow dogs to run free in a area further down on the beach . We will definitely be back .
We stopped for the night at this nice neat campground right off the highway . The sites are wide and level . It is situated right in town with plenty of options for dinner. The staff is friendly and even gave us a thank you card for staying . The sites are plenty wide enough and have concrete pads . Water Is good with plenty of pressure . You can even wash your RV for a extra fee of $10 .
Perfect location to visit all the small islands. The owners are on site and very helpful and friendly. On the day we left they were updating the power system! We will be back in the late fall for another visit.
We stayed here 3 years ago and it was very nice so we decide to return. We found an almost new campground - they must have been wiped out by Irene . The price is very high and they even had the nerve to charge a extra 5.00 for my dog . I spent a long day at the beach and came back to find a nasty note taped to my coach door saying to come to office right away . When I handed the person at the desk the note she very abruptly told me that I was supposed to check out . I then showed her my receipt showing her I was paid in full for 3 days . The response was not apologies, it was a very dirty look with a nasty response of we are very busy and must have made a mistake . This place is now very high priced and clearly has no idea about customer service. We will not be returning to the Cape Hatteras KOA .
