I have to disagree with some of the previous ratings as we had a wonderful time at this camp. The sites are HUGE and the owners could easily split them in half and be "normal" sized. It's true that activities and the water slides are extra $$, but we've been to other campgrounds (KOA's) where it's even more expensive. There are rules (just like most camps) but we did not have anyone stop us when we (knowingly) broke them. We camped with a large group and had a great time and will consider this camp again. I will agree with that there is an ugly turn (GPS instructions) where many cars/trailers have bottomed out! If it were not for this review site, I would have landed in the same intersection. Town Hall Road - easy shortcut to avoid nasty intersection!
We camped here for Memorial Day with a fairly large group (6 families). We camped in the outpost, and it was OK. VERY far from everything which probably was a good thing. There was another group camping, and I feel they could have done a better job keeping the groups together. This is a VERY large camp ground, and we were in the very back. Difficult to get around due to the sandy roads; kids were falling off their bikes. While it's fun to try new campgrounds, we won't rule this one out, but it will not be at the top of our list. (PS: Laundry facility is still not completed.)
We camped here in a fairly large group (7 families) for the Fourth of July, and the campground was completely full! The seasonal folks were extremely friendly! Some in our group had riverside sites and they did a great job keeping our group as close together as possible. Wish there was a bit more grass in the shady sites and that the electrical was more stable. We consistently had brown-outs and lost power several times. All in all, the group decided we would stay here again!
We had a wonderful time at this campground. We traveled with a large group (8 families) and all had sites along the river. Bathrooms were very clean. Owner was very friendly. New rule: children had to have life vests to tube on the river (good rule) but we didn't have vests. Owner provided some for our group to borrow at no cost (not heard of these days!) Sites were a little tight, but because we were friends, we didn't mind. We will most likely come back here as a group. Wonderful spot!
Fabulous time here at this KOA! By far, the best KOA we’ve visited. Most every event, activity and entertainment is included in the overnight price (other KOA’s charge separately). We were here with a large group and were able to get our sites close together and next to the cabins (cabins are top of the line accommodations). Our site was roomy and level with moderate amount of shade. Kids really enjoyed the pools and hayride. Our large group will make this the location for our annual event!
We were here over Labor Day weekend and it was wonderful. Site we were in was well shaded and level. We had full hook ups and Wi-Fi was accessible from the site, though a little slow at times. Very family oriented and seasonal campers were extremely friendly. Only suggestion for improvement is to heat the pool. We will put this on the list to return in the future.
Spent the holiday weekend with large group and was a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly as were the seasonal campers. Fishing pond and rec hall great for the boys. Could use a little more planned activities for the kids. Pool was not open in time for the holiday. Will absolutely consider coming back again!
