If you like quiet, you'll like this park. Located about half a mile off the highway this park looks new because it enjoys a regular and ongoing program of maintenance. The access road is well maintained and wide. The spaces do not have trees but are long, level, and well spaced. The setting is beautiful with mountains to the west, a small lake, and surrounding forest. Thanks to the owners of this park for sharing the area with us, we would gladly stay here again.
This park is well accessed off the highway and far enough away that there is minimal highway noise. The owners are onsite and go out of their way to accommodate their patrons. The park is well maintained. They generate their own electricity and have 15 amp service, their wifi is minimal, but you don't stay here for wifi. The lake setting is beautiful. The owners had suggestions on hiking in the area which were much appreciated. Because they participate in the bear protection program they ask that you take your trash out with you. We would definitely stay here again.
Muncho Lake is beautiful but you don't need this campground to see it. This was one of the most expensive parks we stayed in and our site was in someones front yard, next to the highway and with a view of the shop. The laundry room consisted on one washer and one dryer. There are a minimal number of lake side sites, all back in. We would not stay here again and would recommend camping at a Provincial park instead. (Admin's note--be aware that Provincial Park Campgrounds do not have hookups of any kind--only dump stations and water.)
