C/G was very convenient as we were traveling north and decided to stop overnight. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Grounds were well manicured and maintained. Store was small but provided the basics needed. The only issue that was bothering were the gnats that were a nuisance while outside. I obviously can not blame the C/G but unfortunately does effect the stay.
C/G was very nice. We stayed in the Castaway section which were premium sites near the bay with paved sites, paved parking space for your vehicle, BBQ and fire pit. Access card needed for use of restrooms and laundry room for those who were utilizing the Castaway area. Down fall was that the normal population was utilizing the private pool area for Castaway area campers. C/G provided many events and free bus transportation to Ocean City boardwalk. Store and deli was very convenient and well stocked. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I gave it an 8 as I was disappointed with the additional charges for each child/night. $8 per child per night! I found this to be excessive considering it is a family resort. Staying one week with 2 children runs you an additional $112 for the week.
We stayed here for three nights to allow the kids to Carowinds (Amusement Park). Park provided shuttle service to and from the park free of charge, pool, miniature golf and a very nice lodge. Facility does not have cable TV. Many restaurants and stores close to CG. This place is good for a max. three night stay. Carowinds can be covered in two days. One day for the rides and one day for the water park. More then that and there really is nothing else to do. Staff was extremely friendly.
This is always our last trip of the season. We come here every Thanksgiving weekend for Christmas at Hershey. Hershey Park is open and family has a great time! Facilities are extremely clean and staff helpful. Shuttle bus takes you from C/G directly to Hershey Park for $0! No water at this time of the year but we manage. It has now become a family tradition! We already booked for 2009!
We make this trip once a year to this great C/G. Facility is exceptional. Kids have a great time. Many events if the kids want. (bicycle rental, River tube excursion, game room, miniature golf, cafe, ice cream parlor, DJ certain nights, etc) We pick our sites and request them when making reservations. Staff friendly and helpful. Shuttle bus to Lake George Village a plus.
The campground is in great location and provides tours to New York City for those who want to visit. The campground is comfortable and provides many events. My biggest issue is price. I feel that they are overpriced compared to other locations. My wife likes it so we continue to go. (Obviously she is not paying the fees!) We would return again.
Nice campground where I was. I had a pull thru right near the pool (Q section) Only complaint was that other campers would cut thru the camp site next door in order to go to the pool. Not campgrounds fault. Pool, store and main building were very nice. Great location to use as base and go to Wildwood, Cape May, etc. Camp sites further deeper into resort were seasonal. Would stay again.
This campground was awesome. If you plan on spending time at Cedar Point, this is the place to stay. Yes you spend a little bit more but you get the convenience of being right outside the parks. You also get the benefit of entering Cedar Point one hour earlier then anybody else. Huge benefit to get onto those rides that would usually be packed. The pool is excellent and located just off Lake Erie. Staff friendly and helpful. Restrooms were extremely clean and garbage pick up was maintained. Take your kids on a great trip to Cedar Point and stay at Campers Village!
Campground was very nice facility. Sites were good size. Staff was very friendly. Heated pool was a plus. Unfortunately lake events were closed during the two days we were there as campground experienced a problem with staffing. Kids were disappointed in regards to this. Would stay at campground again.
We enjoyed this campground! Owners will spread out campers if they are not full which allows more room for you. They will occupy every other site. Accommodations are great and employees friendly. Would stay here again
We camped here in a 36 ft motorhome, and sites were a little tight for this size unit. 4 sites from the ocean made up for this minor setback. Staff was friendly and helpful. A LOT of golfcarts on the road! Kids had a good time. Would return without hesitation.
We stayed here after visiting Cooperstown,NY (Baseball Hall of Fame). This campground is a little further north of Cooperstown but well worth the travel. Owners and employees are EXTREMELY kind and very friendly. Campsites are very spacious and private. Owner was upgrading pull throughs with 50 Amp service while we were there. Restrooms and store is clean as well as the campground. Thanks for the great visit. (Next time we would like you to reserve sunshine!)
This was our families first camping trip in our 2002 Fleetwood Bounder 36S which we just purchased several weeks ago. Not knowing what to expect at a campsite, we were pleasantly surprised by what this campground offered. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The grounds itself were well maintained and everything was clean. Security personnel were visible which was a plus. Many employees were out and about tending to the grounds. Location is perfect in regards to Hershey park. Shuttle buses were on time and drivers courteous. An overall A+ for our first outing. We plan on returning at least once a year. Great job!!
