This campground is for those who like to get dirty! It is truly a sportsman's resort with ATV riding, dirt bike riding, hunting, jeep 4x4 trails, fishing, shooting range, skeet shooting, and soon Horseback riding. They have riding trails, and MX tracks. Rentals are available, and they have a great pro shop and service department. Great for families, guy weekends, girl weekends. Check out the website for your information. We had a great time, and will most definitely be back for more fun in the dirt!
We are giving this campground a 7 only because it really needs some updating and upkeep. The caverns are great (our guide was very knowledgeable) , as is the animals, pool and the quiet area. At check in the people weren't too friendly. The bathrooms weren't cleaned and there wasn't a lot of hot water. I don't think that we will go back
Staff was very friendly and helpful, from booking the reservation on the phone, to checking in, to checking out. We had a lovely shaded spot by the stream. (Site 206) Full hook up with cable. Wireless is available but you need to be close to the office. We just brought our laptops to the porch and sat in the rocking chairs. no problems. I took a look at the showers but didn't use them, some friends said that only 2 out of 5 had running water. Lots of activity's for the kids. The pool and 500' water slide were great. (even fun for the adults) We will go back!
Excellent park! No, there is no planned activities for the children, but there is a lot of kids. They all seem to be very well behaved and having a good time regardless. Beautiful landscaping, cable and Wi-Fi work great, the people are extremely friendly, and the bathrooms were excellent. The only cons were that the camp store could be better stocked and the concrete pads for the patio could be a bit bigger. We would definitely come back.
We had a wonderful time. We arrived the day after Christmas and left on New Years Day. They had lots of activities for the kids(and there was a lot of kids running around), Check in everyone was friendly and helpful, The marina was nice, The beach had some jellyfish but the kids still jumped on the trampoline and climbed the rock wall that was in the ocean, and the pub had a great band on New Years eve it was a great way to ring in the new year. A few disappointments were that the sites were extremely close together and the bath house was in need of some updating. They were cleaned 3x's a day but with 200 sites and everyone of them full all week long Im sure that they did their best. It was a great location at mile marker 20, only 18 miles to key west. We hope to go back again soon, but not in the summer.
Great park! We had full hook ups, with lots of trees around. The bathrooms were clean and warm. They even had some activities going on for the kids on the weekend and some great bluegrass music Saturday night. Beautiful foliage and Octoberfest was fun. We will definably be back during the summer.
This was our first camping trip with our new camper. So on Labor Day weekend we decided to load up and go somewhere close by. Cloudland Canyon was the local destination we decided on. Their is 2 areas to camp, The west rim and the east rim. When we checked in the west rim was full so we needed headed over to the east rim and quickly found a nice level site across from the playground. We hooked up to water and electric with no problems. We had a stone picnic table and we also had a lantern hook. Our kids (10 AND 14) went to explore and they quickly found the canyon overlook and some friends to hang with, rode their bikes, and played football in the grassy area near the small pavilion and bath house. The next day we drove over to the west rim to take a look around and quickly found out that the area was bigger with more trees per site. (a lot more private but for us not as kid friendly.) No grassy area for Frisbee or football. We had a wonderful 1st camping experience. We would go back in a heartbeat. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was because the bath house needed to be updated. (although clean)
