This is a very nice park, well maintained and large sites. We agree with many of the positive comments made by other reviewers, so there is not much need to parrot their comments. I will say that the Wi-Fi was very good here, which was appreciated. We stayed for 6 days and we were in the pull-thrus at the back of the park. The small storage shed that is provided is a nice feature, but we wouldn't use ours as it was very dirty and full of spider webs, to include a black widow spider in the back right corner. It had not been maintained by management for a very long time. Also, the available power was not quite up to par. We had to be mindful of what we had running or our voltage would drop below 110v. This was the worse at peak use times, in the morning and early evening. A park this new and this nice should not have this problem. But you can see from my other reviews, this is a fairly common problem. But not everywhere. We are in Nevada at a park now that we never see our voltage drop below 114v, and it is a large park. So it can be done, and parks should be more aware of this problem which can cause serious problems for your coach appliances. Water pressure was good.
The park is in an ok area, although traffic noise is really bad. The sites are nice and big and you can enter the pull-through sites from either direction, which is nice. The park is well maintained and clean. It really is a nice park. What makes this park horrible is the management's unwillingness to deal with problem people in the park. There are at least two full-time families with younger children. The parents don't monitor or discipline their kids. They run through your site, play with your hook-ups and climb on your vehicles. They are totally out of control. Contacting the parents about their children (nicely) you will be met with obscenities and hostility. Contacting the management was a waste of time, and they did nothing to improve the situation. I was told "this is a family park, and so there are children here". I explained I had no problem with children that behaved, and I didn't see this as a child problem, but rather a parental and management problem. Needless to say, the problem was not resolved, and we went to the neighboring RV park. If this problem was rectified, we would pick this RV park as our favorite in the area. But as it stands now, it's our last choice.
We stayed here for about 3 months. This is a wonderful park with a great staff. The park is clean and well maintained. The staff is very quick to get onto any problems that arise. My only negative comment is about the sewer hook-ups. The sewer hook-ups are on a concrete pedestal. The pedestal is too high and causes a slower drainage. Other than that, it's a great park. We like it so much we will be wintering here this year.
This is a wonderful park, but if you require restrooms, laundry, swimming pool, etc. it is not the park for you, as there are none. The park is clean and spots are clean underfoot. There is nothing extra but the spots. The Wi-Fi here is good, a little slow, but stable and adequate. Management is a wonderfully nice woman and really goes out of her way to be helpful. There is plenty of shade. Road noise could be a problem if you are close to the highway. Further back from the highway, the noise is mitigated well by the trees and structures. Voltage was only slightly low, but never became a problem. In the two weeks we were there, only one morning was low voltage a problem. That was the only day the park was full, and in the morning, voltage dipped a little. But the rest of the time we were there we had no problems with low voltage. We would definitely stay at this park again. Price reflects a daily rate for our two week stay.
The listed rate reflects a monthly rate of 450.00. The good things about this park first. The park grounds are well kept up. The park is set in a wooded area and is very quiet and pleasant here. Interior roads and spots are gravel, but enough gravel that dust is low. There are many year round campers here, and all seemed very friendly. Management is friendly and helpful. The camp store has a small but has a decent selection of food and non-food items. The bad comments are few for this park. Management won't allow washing of RVs. They have a low voltage problem in the park, but not as bad as some of the parks up in the Northeast. We had to pay attention to the voltage level in the RV during peak use. We had to run our hot water heater on propane. Also, many of the year round campers mentioned above live in cheap RVs provided by management. These RVs are older and dirty. These RVs take away from the overall beauty of the park. We would stay at the park again.
We stayed in this park for a month while touring the area. I will start out with the good points of the park. The owner/manager is a great guy and has good customer service skills. He was always helpful and courteous. The park is kept up reasonably well. The spots are somewhat secluded. WiFi coverage was reasonable, and in other than peak use times was ok speed wise. In peak use times, the WiFi was very slow. Now the bad. The electrical in the park is substandard. We had to deal with low voltage issues all the time. Also the 50amp outlets are not protected by circuit breakers, which makes hooking to power difficult when plugging in. Also this creates no protection from the plug-in to the RV breaker box in the event of a problem. The sites are very dirty under foot. Now it is important to remember this is a "campground" not an "RV park/resort," so there is less improvements in the sites. But ours was not graveled as some are, which made the sandy soil a constant dirty problem. Also the grade of the site was such that when we got rain, the area outside our step was flooded with 3-5 inches of water. This could have been prevented with just a little work with grading. The spots are average in size, until we were told the spots were for two RVs. This would have been ridiculous if someone was to park next to us in the spot, as there would have been less than 36" between the RVs. We had several problems with our mail being delivered here. One time an attempt was made to deliver the mail and a note was left with the office the package was at the post office. We were never told by the office, we learned via the internet. Finally, the biggest problem was with one of their employees. I won't name him here, but he had no customer service skills, and was arrogant, condescending, and very rude. And to top it off, he was the employee to greet us. Needless to say he didn't make a very good first impression. We will never stay here again, and cannot recommend the park to anyone.
First I will start off with the good points of the park. The spots are large, and clean under foot as you are parking in a grassy area. The WiFi is very good, with good speed and signal. The park is quiet and well lighted at night. They do have a lot of activities, but we didn't engage in any as we were there for a base point for our sight-seeing, and didn't have time to take part in the activities. We had some very heavy rains while there, but the ground drains very well with little or no puddling. Now the bad. First the electric is insufficient. We had a 50amp hook-up, but based on the low voltage problem we had, it appears they just added 50 amp plugs and didn't account for the added load of those using 50 amp. Keeping our voltage at a safe level was a bit of a dance. And on weekends when the park filled up, we had to put our fridge and hot water heater on propane, amongst other tactics to keep from dropping below 110 volts. The sewer system has a problem. It can't handle a full 70 gallon black tank without bubbling up through the neighbors sewer hook-up. There was no laundry, we were told because someone wanted their washers and dryers back, not sure what that was about. The first impression upon arrival is one that made us consider leaving before checking-in. Lots of junky trailers, and trashy structures. We will not stay here again and can't recommend it to others. We stayed in a fifth wheel.
We stayed here for a week in August. The park is very nice and located close to the Badlands National Park. The staff are very nice and attentive to the RVers needs. The sites are level and although gravel, not very dirty underfoot. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely say here again.
We have stayed here before and typically have been happy with out stay. The trees in the park need to be trimmed back in many areas in the park. Rubbing limbs down the side of your coach is very likely throughout. The WiFi is hit and miss. When it is working good, the speed is minimally adequate. When it is working in it's usual manner, speed is poor. Management acknowledged the WiFi needs to be upgraded. This is the same acknowledgement we got the previous year with no change in the system. The park is clean, and maintained well, (except for the trees as mentioned earlier). Management needs to learn what a clock is. Several times during out stay the office was to open at 9am and didn't open until 5-20 minutes late. With the other choices in Clarkston, we don't know if we will stay here in the future unless they trim their trees.
We stayed here for 3 nights. They have nice long stalls, and reasonable distance between your neighbors. The park is well maintained, and clean. WiFi was ok, but slower than what the current standard is at RV parks. We would stay here again.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff are nice and very helpful. They went out of their way to get us into a spot that allowed us to stay hitched up. WiFi is very fast early in the morning and late at night. But during peak hours, 10am to 7pm the WiFi system can't handle the load. Frequently it was so bad we couldn't even get on. If we did get on the speed was horrible, and even got bumped off. I spoke to management about the issue and he confessed the system wasn't up to the load. We would stay here again, but we would do so knowing that we would need to use our own internet system.
I have been RVing for 40 years and this park's customer service is clearly the best of any other park we have stayed at. The staff are very very friendly and willing to help with anything. Several of the RVers in the park had issues with their rigs over the month we stayed there and the staff was there to help if anyone asked. In fact they would drive by and always ask if there was a way they could be of help. When they had time they delivered mail to our rig, which was a quite a ways from the office. Also we had an issue come up with an item that might be delivered in the mail after we left the park and they were very willing to work with us. The park is clean and well maintained. The concrete pads are perfectly level. I have only one complaint. They don't allow washing of rigs in the park. They do have a company that will wash your rig, but I have had damage done to my rig so I'm the only one that will wash and wax my rig. I was able to confirm this is a water cost issue, so I believe they should offer the ability to pay a reasonable fee to wash your own rig. We stayed for the month of October, and their monthly rate was reasonable for the area. We will definitely stay at this park again.
We stayed overnight here as we made our way south. We were very displeased with the park. All the interior roads and spaces are gravel and very very dirty. The spaces are very out of level; ours required 4 inches of lift to the side and over 6 inches in the front. The staff was friendly and the park was quiet. If we end up paying the high rate we did at this KOA, we expect it to have level spots and not so dirty under foot. We won't stay here again.
We stayed over one night at this park, but loved it so much, when we return to the area for a sight-seeing stay we will stay here. Very nice park, well kept, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. At night the park is so quiet it was incredible. Also being away from city lights, if you are into star gazing you will love this place. The only downside to this park is the 1/2 mile drive on gravel. It got our 5er pretty dirty in just that short distance.
The value of the park is lacking. Although not a dumpy park, it is sub-par with the price attached. What really chapped us is we made reservations for a month stay 6 months in advance. The price we were quoted was the same as the web page. We gave a down payment of 50.00 and got a receipt later in the mail, again with the same monthly amount. When we arrived, we were charged 50.00 more than what we had documents for, and when confronted on the discrepancy, we were told that an employee made a mistake. We checked the web page after that conversation and it STILL showed the lesser amount. I confronted the manager later about this and she still would not honor the price we were quoted. The park is clean, and the facilities are well maintained. We won't stay in this park again due to the lack of customer service with respect the bait and switch on the price. Also, the majority of the spaces are not level and no concrete patio areas. Also, the WiFi is useless.
We love this park. The view of the valley is awesome and being near the river is an added plus. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The grounds are neat, clean and well groomed. The restrooms and laundry rooms are always clean. Location is ideal, with a Costco, Super Wal-Mart, Albertsons, and a several restaurants all within walking distance. Clearly the best RV park in the Clarkston.
