Giant park - very busy. Sites back up to each other, so you have 4 backyard neighbors with fire pits, unless you get on an outer perimeter site. Small sites. Everything else was above par - other than that packed-in feeling. Has a great pool, store, and laundry.

We love this spot. Lots of snowbirds, with well-kept spots, mostly retired. Pool was awesome and warm, hot tub was clean. The laundry was great. Internet was Tengo, not well done.... Small assigned spots, but there are hedges in between so fairly private. Friendly staff and residents, about a mile to downtown, great downtown amenities, we will definitely be back!

Dusty parking lot with lots of long term residents with dilapidated 30 year old rigs. Why would the city allow that?? No cable, no internet, but the other utilities okay. Sewer does not allow air tight connections because of no threads. No amenities. The fairgrounds may be going out of business? Sites are not well defined, so If you want to use a lot of space, you can. Did not like - will not go back.

Really windy when we stayed - but a nice stopover. Basically a paved parking lot - utilities worked well, quiet and fairly private big sites. No internet or cable TV. No other amenities. Would stay here again.

We stayed in site #25, which the camp host called "The Crown Jewel" of the park It was big, clean, and a short trail to an ocean overlook, with a drop dead view. The beach was quite a hike downhill. There are no amenities, other than the concrete pad and a fire pit. We were surprised at this, and landed there without water, because the CA Parks website said "developed". Now we know this does not mean hookups. Sunsets are amazing here, as the name would imply. The drive in is awesome, through farmlands and beautiful valleys. It is off the beaten path. Generators are against the rules after 8pm, as a ranger was quick to enforce. Nice place!

The staff couldn't be more friendly and more helpful. Very welcoming! The park is clean, nicely landscaped, and the utilities worked well, with the exception of cable tv which we were not able to make work. Internet is by Tengo, which the park pays for. It works okay. The park is very well-kept, and the sites are big and private with fireplaces and tables, with pea gravel underfoot. The location is poor, however, for a $70 campsite. It is quite a hike from the ocean, close to a mile, and is located alongside California freeway 1, which is six lanes and very noisy. Perhaps the sites not backed up to the freeway are better, but we got the last one available. We would not stay here again due to the traffic noise.

One of the best in the west. Greeted on arrival, and very friendly office staff, and they provide a backup man, very personable. Grounds are clean and nice, they pick up your trash when you set it out, and they recycle everything. Nice wine tasting event (free) on arrival, with hors d'oeuvre in the excellent clubhouse. Nice pool (not heated in winter) and hot tub. Wi-Fi is a professional system, sometimes very fast, but iffy - maybe had someone hogs the bandwidth. Very quiet and very full, even in January.

The most amazing beach right out your doorstep. Probably the best beach in Ocean Shores. An average to low-end property, except for that amazing beach! The manager is a great guy. The property needs serious rehab, as do the utilities, but they worked okay. There's a dead hotel next door, lending a run-down atmosphere. Verizon cell works here, and a couple of TV channels come in by antenna. That's it. Nearest internet miles away in Ocean Shores. No trees, grassy sites, average room between the sites, a few full timers near the entrance, which I think are native fishermen. One irritant: lacking fire rings, people have made campfires wherever they want. There were 5 ash pits in our site: no matter how we tried to back in, we were walking in ashes, and the carpets, etc., suffered for it. Bring lots of tarps, I guess. Its all about that close by, clean, awesome beach.

What a nice place. Clean, well laid out, lots of privacy and room. Seems more focused on it's docks, fishing and marina operation, than say sunbathing on the beach or swimming, swimming is actually not allowed according to several signs. We stayed in slot #74, close to the beach, wireless and other utilities all worked well. There are koi ponds with bronze sculptures in several areas, lending a classy air to the landscaping. This park is very quiet, for the most part adult, and upscale, and although we saw a few kids, there was no playground or much for them to do. Maybe that's why it seems quiet and adult oriented. Would definitely stay here again, liked the owner and the staff, liked the property. Bring a little boat! Even a blow up.
