We stay at this park 3 - 4 weekends during the summer. Having smaller children, the park has tons of activities to keep the kids busy, pool, putt-putt, basketball, volleyball, playground, and "Hey Hey" Hay Rides with one of the Yogi characters. Also, plenty of nearby attractions if you want to leave the park and site see. Close to Opry Mills Mall, Grand Ole Opry, Downtown Nashville, etc. Staff and management are very friendly and accommodating.
With smaller children, we enjoy the Jellystone Parks. This one, however, was our least favorite. Smaller park, so the permanent campers/residents really stand out with their older living quarters. We only stayed one night as we were traveling to another destination, but first impressions would keep us from staying again.
Family friendly park, not far from Gulf Shores and beach access. Pool and lazy river area was perfect for our family, especially with smaller children. Sites are a little close; however, we didn't feel cramped in anyway. We enjoyed the campground enough that we booked again for next summer. Plan ahead with reservations. This park tends to book quickly. Our rate reflects the weekly price.
Great place for family. Beach area on lake, canoe and paddle boat rentals and miles of hiking/biking trails. The sites are somewhat easy to access, most are level, but narrow. There are also limited sewer hook up sites, but water and electric are available on all RV sites. Plenty of shade through out the park. There are also 2-3 playgrounds available for the kids. Overall, this campground was fun, clean and enjoyable. Keep in mind that if you want to fish, a state fishing permit is required and are a bit pricey for non-residents.
The park was extremely clean and well maintained and the staff was friendly as well. There are several gas grills around the campgrounds that are available, making grilling out easy. All sites are level and are gravel (the gravel posed no problems). There are several rental cabins and permanent sites. Clean laundry facility too. Great view of the mountain and having Tallulah Falls, Glen Falls and Sky Mountain within just a few miles, what a great place to stop and stay. We stayed 6 nights and would highly recommend River Vista Mountain Village to our friends and family. We will stay here again
