Truly an awe-inspiring setting with the red cliffs towering above us. Grandpa and the boys hiked to the hidden arch at the back of the campground. Staff were courteous and helpful. Shower and toilet facilities were excellent. Ice cream sandwiches were a bargain and welcome treat. The indoor pool was very clean and large. The free shuttle took us to the lodge where there was a trading post, museum, and movies telling much of the sacredness of the area to the Navajo. We found this to be a most excellent experience--even though the price was high. The lodge rooms were so much more expensive that it helped put the campground charge in perspective! We would stay here again if in the area. There is also an air strip there and we met people who had flown their own plane in for their vacation.

It is a good choice to visit Mesa Verde since it is close to the entrance. The pool is very small but cool. The restrooms were clean but we had to go down steps to get to them and it was tough with our bad knees. We used this as a base to visit not only Mesa Verde but to also visit Hovenweep, Four Corners and the Anasazi Heritage Center in Dolores. The price is a bit high but they can get it due to their location. We probably would stay there again since the KOA in Cortez is even more money.

It is a nice park, with a good pool, and we were close to the restrooms which were clean and comfortable. They had a free pancake breakfast the next morning. The approach to the park was through a neighborhood that seemed very modest and we wondered if we had chosen a good park: we were very pleased with our choice. We would stay here again if in the area.

Wow! This is a 10!! Though there is an absence of trees it was cool with a constant breeze. The pool was exceptional and there were two hot tubs--one for families and one for adults only. There is a wonderful exercise room, ice is available at all the bath houses scattered throughout the park. Honor system to pay for the ice $1 a bag. Bath houses double as tornado shelters. Each contains 3 shower-toilet-sink combos. Laundry is free. Large-screen TV in guest lounge and good food is available to guests for reasonable prices. We would definitely stay here again and we recommend it highly to anyone in any size RV unit. Our size was $15, and the other prices were $17 and $20. Pay for 2 nights and get the 3rd night free--only we had to leave to keep on our schedule. All of us rated this a 10!!

Very nice, clean campground. Lovely owners who led us to our site with a golf cart. Checked in after dark and we were surprised in the morning to find a branch of a river along the bank of the campground. A pleasant stay and we would stay here again if in the area. Owners are making improvements and there is very much a family atmosphere in evidence.

We camped here because it was late and other campgrounds were too expensive. Sites were very close together and in the dark it was very unattractive. The people in the fiver next to us slept with windows open in case anyone in the park decided to help themselves to any of his truck equipment. Ground very uneven. Several permanent trailers. Ladies' restroom satisfactory but men's restroom had no paper and one toilet rocked on its base. With our air running we could not hear the road noise. Power to our site went off shortly after our alarm clock at 7:15 AM. Would not stay here again by choice. It was a place to crash after a horrible day trying to get away on our month-long trip with our grandsons.
