This park advertises its proximity to New York and offers van tours to NYC leaving from the park. That's probably it's best feature. The park is situated on the side of a hill requiring you to make a steep climb and navigate a sharp curve to get to the camp sites. And of course, the laundry facilities are at the bottom of the hill in the office! Uneven gravel sites and there were problems with low voltage on the days we were there. WiFi reception was excellent however. There are many long term residents living in rundown trailers or coaches. Would not be my first choice if we return to this area.
This is a lovely, well-maintained park across the road from the Mississippi River. All spaces in this new park have large, level concrete spots with state-of-the-art pedestals surrounded by grass. Restrooms are spotless and have self-contained areas with shower, sink and toilet. Huge club house with big screen TV lots of other amenities. The pool and hot tub need work but this is planned to happen soon. Owners are extremely gracious and provide tours of the plantation home on the property. Be sure you're well stocked with groceries before you arrive because there are not many shopping and dining options in the immediate area.
We reserved a site with 50 amp service & WiFi access over a week ahead, but when we arrived the owner told us she had given our site to someone else because "they arrived earlier than you did!" Very disappointing. Spaces are very tight for big rigs. WiFi is available in only limited areas of the park. Lots of permanent residents in older RVs. The park was so full that two 5th wheels were parked in one of the access roads! The good news - it's cheap and the little bar next to the showers/laundry really gets going some nights. Wouldn't stay here again however.
This is a beautiful park right on the Gulf of Mexico. Each site has a covered picnic area on a concrete pad. We loved the huge sites, 35-40 feet apart. WiFi access was terrific. No sewer hookups at the site, but there is a sewer dump at a central location.
This park is in a rural area not far from San Antonio. RV sites are in a small valley surrounded by trees with a small creek nearby. Pretty, but it rained heavily while we were here making some of the sites very muddy. The owners were very friendly and helpful in directing us to the local attractions. No restrooms or showers and the laundry consists of 1 washer/1 dryer located up the hill from the RV area.
