I loved this park as soon as we pulled in. The owners are very nice and know the area and activities like the back of their hand. The sites were relaxing, large, and private. This park made our stay in Juneau so much more enjoyable.
This is not an RV park. It is a shale driveway. The property is littered with garbage cans and boat parts. Truck containers line the rear of the property. The writeup delivered to your email is a tribute to creative writers everywhere. Neither the owners or "guides" are ever around. We paid online for reservations and never once saw anyone. The restrooms/showers are at the laundromat in town so if you aren't self contained you're going to be in trouble. Wi-Fi might be available if you were able to find someone to give you the password. This place is terrible. If I could give this "park" less than a "1" rating I would.
From the first phone call I knew this would be a terrific place. It's convenient off the highway and in a wooded area. It feels like camping should feel except we're in a 40' motorhome. Nice thing about this park is that it is quiet and laid back, propane and diesel is available on site, store is well stocked (great ice cream selection). Easy pull in and space to maneuver a large rig and toad. Check in was fun and the camp hosts were great. Wish we had more time to spend in the area.
This was a great surprise, when we were in the area. It was a quick on and off the highway, yet far enough away to be quiet and pleasant. The grounds were clean with many barrels of flowers to make things homey. Nice treed sites but surprisingly our satellite still worked. Sites were easy to maneuver with a 40' rig. Yes there are sounds of trains: I heard one at about 5pm, 7pm, and 9pm. Was nothing to complain about, short trains, and when we were in our rig we could barely hear it. We would definitely stay here again.
Very nice park and easy to find off the highway. People in the park are very nice and everything is nicely maintained. Just stayed for an overnight but met many people in the park. Has level concrete pads and very level areas. Good room for a 42' rig or larger. Close to everything yet it felt like you were in the mountains.
What a pleasant surprise! The new ownership has done tremendous work in creating a GREAT park. Well maintained grounds and sites, common rooms are clean and well equipped. Even has a full kitchen for campers and an air hockey table in the game room! The baths and showers are well maintained, trees on the sites are trimmed, camp hosts in the office are pleasant and efficient, camp store is well equipped. There are many events planned for families, a clean pool area, and a large play area for children. There is even a field for either a baseball game or soccer. It was a nice surprise to see such wonderful changes. We will be back!
This resort calls itself "5 star." The owners really do need to get out to see what this entails. Yes there is 50 amp, cable TV, phone, and WiFi available, but only in certain sites. Most sites have not been upgraded. Wiring is old. There are BBQ grills, unfortunately they are placed directly under the awning for the larger motorhomes. Rules for the park are not enforced, such as picking up after dogs, dogs on the beach, golf carts speeding throughout the park, etc. On busy weekends families tend to cut through campsites leading to an extreme lack of privacy. There are two laundry areas onsite, however half of the machines were not in working order during our last visit. There have been numerous problems and turnover in staff in recent years, leading to inconsistency and negativity. Price reflects member price.
We were in the area for the Angel's games, not Disneyland and we found this park to be very nice for a resort area. It was a nice mix of concrete sites and grass. The staff was very polite and helpful. The park was very clean. Our site was clean, level, and large enough for our rig and suburban without having to use the patio area (as in many parks). We will be staying here again soon.
