I stayed here for seven days while visiting family. Sites and roads are gravel, yet there is grass all around and a fenced in dog run as good as any I've seen. Staff made the stay all the better. They were very helpful when asked for information about places to get materials I needed to work on my motorhome. Also, when I asked about where to change my oil, I was offered use of a pan and allowed to change it myself. Most of those staying here are full timers, thus mature, respectful, and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Also, if this is an example of an Escapee park, I'd look forward to staying at another some day. (Note, heading says "Escapees Only" and that is not true. Sure I paid a little more, but was welcomed.)
Sites are close, yet very quite and clean. Negative is that you need to arrive between 1:00 and 5:00, any earlier and you can't check in any later and your site will not be held for you. Dog run is unique in that it is a path out into the open space. Nice walk, but not being fenced is limited. Great location to sight see from.
Only half of the sites are reserved so there is a good chance you can get in at last minute. Sites are well spaced and clean. As with any park setting, many sites are not that level. Whether good or bad, cell phone service is available here. Not many services here, but just being here is special.
We stayed here because we wanted to tour around the lake. The park was full, which speaks to its location and the fact there aren't many options. I would have rated it higher, but many of the sites were right on top of others and it seemed that everyone there had at least one dog. Needless to say, it was like being next door to a kennel. On the positive side, the staff were great and it is just across the street from the lake.
Spent a couple nights in Tahoe and wanted to get away from the hype. Checking for close by parks we happened upon this. Many casino parks are simple and not worth staying at unless you really want to be there. This is quite the exception. Although the sites are close, we found that it was a very quiet park and also very clean (I think the hotel staff work here too). The hotel offers two good restaurants, bowling alley and of course gambling. Definitely worth staying here if you want to visit this area. We'd never planned to come to Carson City, but glad we did.
When we arrived the campground was a muddy mess. Not only the roads, but the sites themselves. Roads also were very narrow and difficult to maneuver. Considering the high price and lack of amenities I would not suggest staying here. If you want to visit Big Sur area, stay elsewhere and do day trips.
Location, location: you are just across the street from the ocean. A very quiet area (don't let the power plant or cement plant scare you. I've been here twice and never heard them). Morro Beach is a good location to just lay back and enjoy the coast and is a central location for lots of touring. Sites are close, but you don't feel too crowded. Internet is slow, but it does work. Staff is very friendly. A unique offering is that you can store your RV here and they will take it to your site before you get here and put it back in storage when you're gone.
Stayed here for one night just passing through and had the worst night's sleep. Trains and traffic were a real problem. Rest rooms were clean. It was about 32 degrees and water was turned off by park and not back on when we were ready to leave at 8:00 AM, which was inconvenient.
Great location, just behind Fort Casper. Close to attractions and close enough to city. They have a policy of No Refunds and they mean it, so pay by the day if you are not sure how long you plan to stay. During our trip this Fall this was the only camp ground we encountered (other than in Jasper National Park) where they were full. Definitely would stay here again.
Great location just north of Helena. Stayed here "off season" yet they seemed to be quite busy. Not much for kids, but the only ones we have are the four legged kind and there was a nice dog walk area. Would definitely stay here again.
This park was very well kept and located just outside entrance to Glacier National Park. Wi-Fi was not available at the sites, but worked fairly well at the office. Did have ethernet connections in the office. Cafe was all others have said about it: good food and plenty of it, at a fair price.
