Although we share the opinions of others with regard to the facilities offered at this campground, we did not have a good experience with the campground managers. Upon our arrival we were informed that "for some reason" one of their clerks had changed our arrival date to the day before. I had their confirmation letter in hand stating that we were to arrive when we did. They had given away our pull-through site, and told us they had a back-in site available. They wanted us to take the back-in site for the first two days and then move to a pull-through site for our last three days. Once we were settled into the back-in, we did not relish having to pack up and move again in two days. We told the manager that we would prefer to just stay where we were. We were told that we could not, because there was a group of two coming in behind us, and they needed the back-in site for that twosome. The more we thought about this, the more we realized that they were expecting us to interrupt our vacation and take the time to move sites in order to compensate for a mistake THEY had made on our reservation. When my husband told them we would not move, one of the managers told us that if we did not move to the other site in two days we would be asked to leave the campground. Two hours later, both managers visited our motorhome and told us we could stay where we were. This situation caused us a great deal of anxiety. If this happened to us, it can happen to you. Beware.
This park is wonderful. The pool and hot tub are great. Showers are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body gel, along with hair spray, Q-tips, mouthwash, and several other "extras." The new manager is very friendly and accommodating. She made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again.
The information on this park's website is grossly misrepresented. There was no hot water in the showers. There is no "well-stocked country store." The country store consists of a few shelves in the office with a scarce supply of canned food and a few RV supplies, none of which we could use. The "coffee room" mentioned in their beautiful 4-color brochure is a table in the corner of the office where coffee and doughnuts are offered. If you are a tea drinker, you're out of luck. We would not stay here again.
