Nightly rates reflects military discount. I'm note quite sure we actually received the right discount on our entire stay. They offer active duty plus first responder discounts. My calculations would say no we didn't. We camped here for 5 days. The park is an "old" family run park. The bathrooms smelled of mildew something horrible. The showers I don't think were very cleaned the 5 days we stayed, as the drains were full of hair and the walls were full of creepy crawlers. Most sites are some what shaded. There is a gaggle of geese at the park they are near the stream and they defecate everywhere. The park tries to clean it usually at first light. There are a lot of seasonals there who stay in run down trailers, kind of makes the whole park look messy. This is a very wooded area and some sites are very wide and easy to get into and others are not. The Wi-Fi was horrible at best, I don't think I was ever able to connect the whole time we were here.
Rates reflects military discount. This was a quick stop for us we stayed only 12 hours. The park host was very nice and stayed open late so that we could check in very late due to an accident. The Wi-Fi was patchy. The site was not level has to break out he blocks to get as level as possible. The park is beautiful in the daylight every site is fully shaded with tons of wildlife present. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore the park a little more.
We stayed here 1 night in June and another night in July. The best thing about this park is that they have 4 or so sites that have their own separate dog runs. These sites book up pretty fast so make sure you book early. Sites are grass, and ours was level (site #56). The owners live on the premises, the park is very clean, however the showers do need some updating. The staff are very friendly and it is very close to the Big Texan.
We had just purchased our first travel trailer and this was our maiden voyage in our new toy. The staff was kind, the one male staffer we saw everyday we were here, checked on us everyday. The park was pretty empty. When we arrived there were about 13 sites taken, we decided to take one that was away from everyone so that we could get some quiet. The had 2 cabins that were behind us quite aways, and they had tents and trailers all hooked up next to the cabin. They were very loud even though quiet hours were after 8pm. They didn't enforce the rules, the pet policy that is. All dogs were supposed to leashed and none except my dogs were leashed. They boast 3 pools: there was only 1 functioning at the time we were here. The spa was not functioning either. We pulled up to several sites to find that the hook ups were not working. We moved 3 different times to find a working site. All sites were on dirt which most were level. Picnic tables were on at least 1/3 of all sites, as well as fire rings. Convenience store was really pricy: I guess that's what you pay for convenience. We will probably not stay here again.
My nightly rate reflects the military discount. All active duty stay free! This park is a newer park and very very clean. The sites are level and very basic. They have some shade trees. All sites are parked so that you never had to look at your neighbors' sewer lines, you park back to back. The pool was open until 10 PM, which was a nice added convenience after being on the road all day. To unwind until 10 was very nice. Every day they have BBQ where you can purchase food and enjoy and ice cream social. The park also has a separate dog run where you can let your dogs off leash for awhile to run and sniff. The park unfortunately is not a very nice park of town, but they offer so much to you within the park you shouldn't have to go into town for anything. This is my 2nd time staying here in 3 weeks time and would definitely stay here again in the future.
