Well kept park, good access roads, the sites are spaced apart. The pads are somewhat narrow, most sites are shaded. Trash cans at every site and trash is picked up everyday. Now the bad, Bathrooms and showers were filthy, mold in the showers trash everywhere and they smelled bad. Lots of kids on the weekends and the staff is unfriendly and in some cases rude. Most campers did not pick up after there pets; in fact most of the rules were not enforced. I am not sure if I would stay for any extended period again.
Nice campground, mostly shaded sites are near level and long enough for big rigs. The bathrooms and showers are older but clean and kept up. Laundry is available. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sites have full hookups. Pool is available and is clean. Pet friendly with areas to walk. Would stay here again.
We did not stay at this park due to the condition of it. We drove through the park as we were staying near by. Wanted to see what the park was like. If you have a fifth wheel or a motorhome the park would be difficult to manage due to the low overhanging limbs and narrow access roads. The park is overgrown, and you will almost certainly sustain roof damage due to the tree limbs. Travel trailers and tent campers would most likely do fine. Big rigs beware.
Good park sites concrete with paved access roads. Most sites have some shade. Great views with plenty of places to walk or bike. Pet friendly. The down side is the bathrooms although clean they have no ventilation and are in a state of disrepair. If you don't use the puplic restrooms or showers the park is a 10. If the corps would spend a little on upgrading the showers and restrooms this would be a top notch park. They are, also due to budget cuts, taking out all the trash cans leaving only one dumpster at the front of the park for trash removal. Might stay here again for a day or two.
Second time staying at this park and it is still as great as ever. Shaded sites paved and close to level. Restrooms clean and showers are clean with lots of hot water. Walking trail around lake. Pet friendly. Some sites may take a little time to get into with a big rig but overall this is a great place to spend a few days. We would stay here again
Great park, well kept, very neat and clean. They are very proud of their grass and do not allow anything on it. Very little if any shade. Pads are concrete and access roads are paved. Restrooms are very clean. Park is pet friendly and is big enough to give your pet a good walk. Staff friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
Nice park very clean and manicured but very little if any shade, no grass to speak of and a lot of extended stay residents. Pads were concrete access roads gravel. Bathrooms and showers were clean most of the time. Several times the floors were wet and dirty but were cleaned up the next day. Very nice laundry. Pool and hot tub available and clean. Overall very nice park. The reason I did not give it a 10 was the lack of grass and shade and the pet areas were small. They have a very large grassy area that is going to be one of the pet areas but it is not fenced completely yet. Would stay again but not for very long. Big rig access not a proplem. Would stay again. We stayed three days. This park has one of the most well stocked RV supplies store I have seen at a RV park.
Nice park, but expensive; sites paved as are the access roads. Bathrooms are nice, but they have an issue with getting moisture out of the shower areas as they were wet and sometimes muddy most of the time. They say they are big rig friendly, but not true for all sites. Lots of trees on most sites and these cause an issue with getting in and out of sites. Ask when you get there about the site. We have a forty foot fifth wheel and it was very hard to get in and out. Some sites are very close together which is an issue also if you have slide outs. It has a nice pool and store. Would not stay here again because of price, not worth 60 dollars a night. Wi-Fi is not available unless you pay extra.
Fantastic place to stay. Staff friendly and helpful and other campers are friendly. Park is pet friendly sites are concrete the access roads are gravel. All sites have some or a lot of shade. Rates does not includes electric unless you are paying by the day. Restrooms and laundry are clean. Park is close to Rockport and Aransas Pass and about 15 miles from Port Aransas. Great place to stay a lot of winter Texans so it may be hard to get in from December until March. Would stay here again.
Stayed here for a month. Park is military but civilians can stay with a military sponsor. Rate is slightly higher. You have to leave the base for one day every 30 days. The rate includes full hookups no charge for electric and the laundry is free. Nice park most sites have shade except for the partial hookup sites. These are pull throughs with a paved surface. The full hookup sites have concrete and pavement. Nice place to stay.
Sites are gravel some have shade most don't. A lot of extended stay campers here. Park is clean and well kept but it is all gravel with very little grass. Restrooms are clean but a little out of the way. Laundry room is clean with plenty of washers and dryers. Staff is friendly and helpful.
This is one of the most secluded parks that we have stayed at. Not a lot of campers and the sites are spaced well apart. Beautiful area, park is going through some changes with logging out dead trees and cleaning up the areas. The bathrooms were spotless although small. The staff were excellent and helpful. Kind of out of the way but a great place to stay. We would stay here again.
This park was a nice surprize, Very clean well kept, most sites had shade and some grass. Restrooms were clean as was the laundry which had plenty of washers and dryers. There are a lot of fulltime campers here but most of them are well cared for in appearence. Sites are a little close but fairly level. Sites are gravel with a wooden deck and a picnic table. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. We stayed here for 3 days in a fifth wheel would stay here again.
Great park access roads are paved and the grounds are kept up. lots of areas to walk and nice surrounding woods. Not a lot of shade on the rv sites. The laundry is clean. The showerhouses have gone down some not sure why we have camped her for years and they have always been clean, but they are not now. Spoke to the admimistration about this and was told they would handle it. Staff is friendly and other than the showerhouses the park is very nice. We stayed here for two weeks in a fifth wheel.
Great park lots of grass but very little shade. grounds were kept mowed the pool was indoor and spotless. The Bathrooms were not the best they needed a good cleaning on a daily basis. And that is the only item that was disappointing about the park. The staff was great and very friendly. There is also a golf driving range on site. We stayed here for a month. Would definitely stay here again...
Great park lots of grass and shade with most sites. Some sites very close to the water. Paved access roads and gravel sites. Our site was level but for big rigs it is a little tight. Restrooms were somewhat clean, but not great especially on the weekends. The laundry was available but had one washer and one dryer. Enjoyed staying here. We stayed for a week and we would stay here again.
Nice campground friendly staff and the park is well taken care of. The campstore has a large selection of rv supplies. The down side is the actual camping area is about a mile from the main building and it is a dusty dirt road. The sites are also gravel and our site was not well drained are level. Some of the sites have shade. The restrooms and showers are clean but not air conditioned so they stay dusty. The laundry is not air conditioned either and was some what dirty. We stayed here in a fifth wheel for a week. I wont stay here again.
Older campground very clean and has been kept up. The bath houses are clean as is the pool. Sites are somewhat close together. It is quite and very peaceful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Most sites have some shade. Would stay here again we stayed here for a week in a fifth wheel.
Have been staying here on and off for about 10 years and have seen the park slowly go down hill. The bath houses although clean are very dated and some of the equipment does not work. The grounds are being neglected making it difficult to get in and out without dragging tree limbs on the RV. I would stay here again hoping the state will update the park. There are very few 50 amp connections I am told they are there but I have never seen them. Sites are gravel with paved access roads. Very wooded with most sites shaded.
Great Campground. Sites are big most have shade, the staff keeps the grass cut. Restrooms and showers are clean and well kept. Has nice laundry. The office has some RV supplies and propane is available. There is a golf driving range and a walking trail. Not much local activities, some restaurants. Need to drive to next big city for better choice. We stayed here a week. Would stay here again for sure.
Small campground, can get big rigs in and out but it is not easy. Most sites are used by campers who live there full time. The staff is friendly and the area is clean. Has a good laundry and the restrooms and showers were clean. The men's shower was being remodeled and was somewhat dismantled. The nearest town Athens, is fairly large and has a lot to offer. We stayed here a week in a fifth wheel.Good campground to stay over nite only.
Park area is well kept and it has a lake with a paved walking trail around. It also has a beach and many shade trees. The RV area is somewhat rundown. The sites are not kept up and you can get a large rig in there, but you have to be careful of low limbs and tight turns. Not all sites will fit a big rig. The bathrooms and showers are old and need to be updated. They are mostly clean except on weekends when they tend to get dirty. The staff is friendly and helpful; they sell ice at the check-in office. There is a laundry, but it has only one washer and dryer. The staff said that they were working on improvements. Hopefully it will get better.
Nice park, well kept sites, and access roads were paved. Most sites were water front and all sites were within a few feet of the water. Bathrooms and showers were ok, not great. They were not air conditioned so there was a lot bugs in the showers. Most sites had some shade, easy to get in and out, some sites were a little small for big rigs. Staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed here for a week.
This campground was comfortable, very little shade, quiet and secluded. Lake was way down so it was not useable. Most of the residents are fulltime. Was clean and the staff was friendly. Not close to good restaurants. We stayed here a month. Probably would not stay here again. Great for overnight or a couple of days. Access roads are paved, sites are gravel.
Park is in a state of reconstruction from Hurricane Katrina. The camping area is in good repair and the sites have full hookups. Park is well kept and has easy access. The bathrooms are not as clean as they could be but are acceptable. Ice is available at the camp office. One of the great things the park has to offer it is right on the ocean.
Great Park right on the Delta easy access, sites are paved park is well kept and clean. Laundry is available, restrooms and showers are spotless. Restaurants are close as are two towns which have everything you might need. We would stay here again.
Excellent park clean well kept volunteer on duty 6 days a week. Bath houses are clean and laundry is available. Most sites have shade at sometime of the day. Close to lake. Quite and peaceful. Would stay here again.
