Stopped overnight. Two miles off the main road, it is quiet and beautiful. A pleasant hike along trails around the golf course lead to a beautiful opening with a fishing lake. The office is also a lounge serving hot dogs, hamburgers and such. Very friendly helpful people. A bit of paradise off the beaten path. Would definitely come back.
Our site overlooked the lake with Bald Mountain in the background. An awesome view. Large sites with picnic tables. Strong Wi-Fi. Clean laundry room. Office staff friendly and helpful. Paddle boats and kyake's available for the lake. Would definitely stay here again.
There are many shade trees, but very open and none blocking views or driveways. Very quiet, beautiful wood setting with spacious sites circling a small fishing lake. Picnic tables at each site. No traffic noise. No trains. The bath house is small with only two showers and two toilets each, but are very clean. Owners are friendly and accommodating. We will keep this on our "go back to" list when we're traveling this area.
New managers did an excellent job last year of cleaning up this park and have returned this year with continued efforts. Restrooms, showers, and laundry room, which also serves as a storm shelter, are very spacious and clean. Re-cycle bins are now available. Back-in and pull thru sites are large, mostly shaded but not obstructed. Tree trimming is ongoing in problem spots. Enforcement of the rules seems a priority which makes the park pleasant for everyone. The managers are friendly and helpful and have gone above and beyond most managers to make this park a nice place to stay. A definite improvement from our visit two years ago.
