We intended to spend our 4th of July weekend at Rustic Sands Campground. The check in staff was friendly, however we found our site to be too small for our 30' motor home. The ground was very unlevel, but that we could deal with. We found the cable to be fuzzy on several channels, and we did not get all the channels that were listed on the sheet provided us at check in. Our problem was with the electrical system. There were approximately 13 sites in the cul-de-sac that we were in with only 10 breakers at the electric box. All day the 3rd the breaker kept throwing which was annoying. There were 2 of the sites that were homesteaded with household appliances. When a new unit came in later in the day, we went to low power, and it was not enough to carry our unit. We asked to be moved but it was after dark before we were granted permission to move. We packed up and came home. I would NOT recommend this campground to anyone unless they wish to deal with power problems.
This is our very favorite State Park. The park is clean. We enjoy waking up in the mornings and seeing the deer. There are several white squirrel that are not afraid to visit your campsite. If you want to get out into nature, this is a great park.
