This is the best choice if staying in Santa Fe, hands down. The campground is spotless, beautiful grounds with flowers in a desert climate. Management is extremely friendly and accommodating. Recommendations for local activities and restaurants were very helpful. This campground is the type I would run if I were in the campground business.
We stopped here for a one night stay in route. The campground was clean, the sites were level but it is basically a en route campground with very few amenities. I could not imagine staying here for a long period of time
This is a beautiful campground which is well groomed. It has a beautiful lake with good fishing. The sites are well designed and level. The only thing that keeps this from being a 10 is that they only have 2 showers available but they are very clean.
Don't make a reservation here under any circumstances! I had health problems and could not complete our trip therefore I canceled 72 hours prior. They still refused stating that if I had made a 5 day reservation I would have to cancel 5 days in advance. I plan to return to Durango next year but it will definitely not be here. Their attitude was uncompromising and non-negotiable. Don't deal with these folks. There are too many decent campgrounds in that area.
