We had a nice "premium" spot with a view of the lake. It's not a fast/easy walk to the lake, but could be done. The park was clean and not crowded - we happened upon a heat wave and temps were up to 112! The electricity was clean and reliable, so we were grateful. Spots were spacious and nice. The reason we are rating an 8 were: *Internet not so great and quite slow. Sometimes didn't want to work at all. Also, be sure to ASK ahead how to get on if you arrive late - they didn't leave this info with our late registration. *Even though the park was FAR from full - LOTS of open space, for the 4 nights we booked, they kept putting new people right next to us on both sides. We don't get why they wouldn't spread us out a bit for some privacy? So strange to us and would have been easy to just give us all a little breathing room. *$40 was pricey for off season during the week. Our friends stayed at a hotel 4 miles from us for $29 during the week. Staff was really friendly on the phone, fairly friendly in person. Be sure to add days on versus pay for days you aren't sure about. They were good to tell us they won't do any refunds, so we know ahead of time.
Great state campground! Super clean and nice. Only reason for the 9 is wi-fi and phone don't work well (Our wifi, campground does not offer) and no pull through sites. All sites are back in and noise does carry, so some groups can be loud. Also, they now charge $5 if you disconnect your tow car coming up the windy mountain roads, which is silly! It was clear it was our tow car, and we followed the RV in. Guess it's part of the way our state is trying to make up lost revenue. This books up fast as there are not a lot of electric sites. Sites are spacious and just plain nice! Thank you to the crew who really cares and takes care of it.
Wow! Great place. We loved the open space and great location for Mt Rushmore and other attractions in the area. We had a beautiful view and found them to be friendly. Well kept, clean and plenty of amenities. Satellite worked great and 50 amp was stable. They had rules, but were flexible. Enjoyed the onsite breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.
We stopped here overnight and were disappointed. It was right on a major road with traffic in front, and a train in the back. We called ahead to say we'd get in late, then arrived to find no instructions how to use the Wi-Fi, or the layout of the campground. The owner was a bit cranky the next day, and still no one at the office when we left, so we paid via a drop box. We will not stay here again.
This is a great overnight location. It's well keep and works just perfect for an overnight visit. It is hard to rate higher with it being in the dirt and in an area like Barstow which is not a destination place. We have stayed here before and will stay here again. There are friendly staff, the sites were level and easy to pull through.
This is a wonderful campground! Just wish it had more spots for larger RVs with hookups too. It's very rustic, but nature at it's best. It's also very hard to get in, we certainly could use more RV available places to go around Lake Arrowhead area! It's well maintained and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful.
We had a great stay here for almost 1 week. There are so many state and national parks and points of interest outside of Bryce, and within a drive of this park. The owners (and everyone who works here) could not have been more helpful and nice: they get a 10+ rating. The park was very well maintained and clean, and the sites had ample space. What stopped us from a 10 star rating was that it is dirt pads vs concrete, and the WiFi was spotty. They tried hard to make it work, it seemed to be the terrain. Also, most cell phone plans don't have coverage in this town, so if you want to "get away" you'll love that. We would certainly stay here again: their rates were very reasonable.
WOW! We loved this campground. The personnel could not be more friendly or helpful. The sites were super clean, and we had lots of choices on where to stay. The wi-fi worked great for us in a premium site, and it was super quiet. All amenities including 50 amp were awesome. This is our first 10 star rating, and the campground earned it. Location was also great - right in quaint West Yellowstone, and less than a mile from the park entrance. We'll be back! They have a great place!
This is our second stay and both stays were great. Wonderful location, friendly staff. Very clean, well maintained and easy to navigate in a large RV and towing. Only downsides are they fill fast, are pricey and can be attract noisy RVs during certain times of the year. Plan to stay here again.
The good. Easy freeway access without any freeway noise. The owners were easy to work with, helpful and very friendly. The sites were easy to pull into. The bad. Really run down, dirty, dog waste all over, weeds everywhere, and picnic tables falling apart. This campground has great bones if someone would just give it a huge dose of TLC. Also, a lot of extended stay trailers and RVs while we were here, made it feel even more run down. We wanted to stay here again, but will look for another spot that is clean and nice.
