Good hookups and great fishing on the pond. The roads into the campground are pretty rough. Campground seems to have a lot of fun family things for the family to do however it rained most of the time we were there so we were unable to enjoy any of them. Friendly campground hosts.
There could not be a better location to tour around St Louis MO. The metro is an easy walk away or security will drive you there. We bought a week Metrolink pass ($25) and were in and out of the city with such ease. The hook ups at the campground were good. The wifi was horrible and the laundry was $3 per load. Get a spot in the 300-400 and you will have shade trees. The campground is clean and safe. Nice picnic and park area. It may look like a big parking lot but it really is a great place.
Hooks worked well. Campground was clean. Location is excellent. Wifi was not good, had to use our own hotspot. This campground is in the best location. Walking distance to Independence and driving distance to so many historical attractions. Do not miss the Union Cemetery in Kansas City.
Hook ups and wifi worked well. Best thing about this part is Location, Location, Location. Beautiful walking path along the river into town. Camp hosts are very helpful giving you directions to avoid Branson traffic.
Nicely kept campground with a great campground store. The owners were the friendliest and most helpful we have ever met. The only thing the would have made our stay better would be to have laundry facilities. There isn't a lot to the town (post office, cafe, and outrigger company). If you have plains to be on the river the outrigger company is excellent. Hope to return one day just to visit with the owners.
For $11.00 a night you can't really complain. All hook ups were fine. It was close to Little Rock. Sites 1-16 seem to be in the older area. This is where we were at. The sites were a mess and very old, run down, unoccupied RVs were in spots. No WiFi and no laundry. If you can try to get in sites 17-34, they are very large pull-thrus and seem better maintained. No base maps and the check-in procedure is awful. Find your site first, then go back to main billeting with your site number to check in.
If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the perfect campground. Great hiking trails, fishing, and a marina with boat rentals and swimming area. Be advised there is no cell phone reception out here. Hookups worked fine. Were here during a severe storm and the park rangers did an excellent job at checking in on us and keeping us informed.
Clean sites, beautiful location, minutes from Hot Springs. All he hook up were good. We had problems with our cable hookup but the campground host immediately came out and fixed the issue. The pool was just redone so it looks great and is very well maintained. Great river views. My only complaint is such a large RV park should have recycling. We loved it so much here we canceled at another park and came back a week later.
What a gem. Excellent hiking, canoeing and so peaceful. Well that is until the weekends but most people settle down by 11 pm. Bathrooms are clean but old. No recycling. The park didn't inform us they had free Wi-Fi, figured it out a couple days in then 2 days later a storm knocked it out. Also didn't inform us there were free washer and dryers in the campground. Drive into Saint Martinville and stop at the Longfellow-Evangeline State Park; it was really informative and beautiful. Wild life is abundant.
This is a beautiful park and the location to Galveston and Houston was good. I would have given it a 10 however there were a couple of things that were not great. First no recycling. Second there are a lot of long term people here that work in the area. No matter what campsite you are in you are close to the park roads so early in the morning you are woken by all those workers. Area is windy but peaceful. Enjoyed all the birds. NASA and Old Downtown Galveston are must dos.
Some long term people here that let their dogs use any open area as the bathroom and didn't clean it up. No recycling. Other than that the campground is in a conscientious location to enjoy the sights in Corpus. The newer area seemed nicer but then you have to deal with the salt spray from the ocean. We were in the older area.
Great location to visit San Antonio. The roads around the base and on the base are horrible. Base is nice. No Wi-Fi. In this day and age their is no reason not to have WiFi available. Thank goodness there was a Starbucks right outside the gate were you can get online. Nothing special but great location.
Fort Stockton is an nice town that you should spend at least a day visiting. The RV park was very nice. It was clean and well maintained. It is close to everything you need, and even though it is close to the highway noise was not an issue. Best WiFi we've encountered. I gave it a 7 for 2 reasons. First they don't recycle. I feel that putting out a recycle bin is not that difficult and it bothers me seeing all the plastic bottles and aluminum cans in the trash. Second the owners were out of the area and the office workers worked only a couple hours a day in the late afternoon. So once checked in, you're on your own. We were over charged a day and was told by the office workers we would be reimbursed on our card. Still hasn't happened.
If you can't get into a full hook spot then don't even bother. We pulled in where shown for our spot, then moved to another spot when the host realized there wasn't a water hook up. Showed us our second spot...and we left. Partial spots are in a circle. 6 Rvs per circle, end to end. So you have to parallel your rig into a very tight spot. 30/50 amp hook ups are every other spot. All the 50 amps were used so we had the 30 amp. Door opened to the middle of the circle which was dirt and weeds. Very disappointed.
Can't beat the views of Lake Mead. Just minutes away from Hoover Dam and old Boulder city. We were in a pull through that provided plenty of space. Hookups were adequate. Stay away from the park store, it's way overpriced.
Best park by far. Excellent dog run and dog park. Very clean showers and laundry room. Very impressed with the recycle program. Water lines seemed to have a lot of air in them, but overall wasn't that big of deal. Good location to do a lot of sight seeing.
Excellent RV park. The host made sure we were comfortable. Good hook ups, cable, and Wi-Fi. There were many long term residence here, but many seemed to be veterans who were very friendly and always stopping for a little conversation. Good area to branch out and sight see. Don't miss the Veterans memorial it was a surprise in a small town. My only reason for not giving this a 10 was the dog area. There really wasn't one. There were 2 parks close by that we were able to walk the dog at.
Big sites, good hook ups, OK Wi-Fi. We stayed here 14 days. Good location to sight see. Recommend you stop at morale and recreation because they have some really good programs. Good dog area, but getting there or anywhere around the park was very tough on dogs paws due to the stickers.
This campground was very clean (campsites, restrooms, beaches etc). We were at campsite 4 which was less than 75 yards from the beach. Perfect swim area as well as boat launch. Good area for pets. Cowboy RV mart in Havasu were awesome fixing our stove and working with the warranty.
Looked a little a sketchy, but ended up being fine. Great location for site seeing. On the river means about a 15, go drop down an embankment. Our trailer is 34 feet and was difficult to park. Some bigger Rigs ended up pulling out.
