We were there during a heat wave and they had problems with the power going on and off. I could only get a site with 30 amp and I have 2 A/C's. I understand that there are 50 amp on some water sites and the owners are trying to get most sites to have 50 amp at some point. The owners have had the place for 2 years and are fixing up things as they go. I'm from the US and found it suprising that all of PEI does not spray a fog to get rid of mosquitoes, which they have at this campground and others we stayed at in PEI. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Pool was nice. Sites are on grass and fairly level and there are water view sites and even a few rows back you have a partial water view. There is a 9 hole golf course for the novice to try out. The office/store does not carry a lot of items and the nearest store is about 15 minutes away. If they got rid of the mosquitoes, I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice campground on a picturesque bay. Quite a few grass sites are right on the bay. The new owners are very friendly and helpful. Restrooms are a bit rustic, but quite clean. Wi-Fi is currently available only at the office but they expect to have it at the sites later this season. Sites could be more level than they are, but getting the rig leveled was not a problem. Fresh lobsters are available from the owner who picks them up at the boat. The campground is about 20km from the closest town of any size, which is Montague, where you'll find two supermarkets and other services. All in all, this was a very nice and relaxing place to stay on this wonderful island. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is under new management. It is the first time that we have stayed here, but we will be back. Waterfront sites are available on a first come first serve basis. We were on waterfront site B, it is a 3 way site with 50 amp. The sites are wide and the hook-ups are situated so that you can either back in or pull in. The staff is friendly and helpful and the park is well kept. The roads into the park typical PEI roads, the lanes are about 10' wide and the roads have curves and up and down hills, we had no problem with a 40' MH and toad. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We chose this cg based on its location. Beautiful views and close to some activities we were interested in. CG facilities are completely outdated and run down. Roads are poorly maintained stone and gravel. Grass was uncut and electric boxes just hanging loose off posts. Dump station is poorly sited and there was no water available. We would not return. The 3 rating is solely based on the ocean view. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
