Two campsites were reserved in March of 2014 for a two night stay but the reservations for one of the sites was cancelled at the beginning of May 2014 as the occupant/owner of the second travel trailer needed to have oral surgery. The campground owner was not understanding and charged a 35 dollar cancellation fee and booked that site to another camper for June 31 to July 5 inclusive. To enter and leave the camp ground a pass is needed. The cost for this pass is 25 dollars with only 15 dollars reimbursed at the end of your stay when the pass is returned. They have wireless internet but the cost is 2 dollars a day to use. If you have visitors each visitor in the vehicle must pay a separate fee of 5 dollars and 65 cents to enter the campground. The facilities themselves are under whelming. The pool is smaller than advertised and not heated. The shower facilities are coin operated and dirty. The washrooms were also dirty with one stall having feces smeared down its wall. The sites themselves are not very level or deep and therefore it is not easy for those with travel trailers to set up. The playground facilities are dated, not well maintained and are not appropriate for small children. The campground consists mostly of seasonal campers and there seems to be little effort being given to attracting and pleasing non-seasonal campers. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay or experience. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park has not been updated for over 30 years. Owners are not accommodating. We book our sites typically a year in advance, and already we are told that we cannot have 1 of the 4 sites. They have told us that seasonal campers take preference, and they need 1 of our sites. Therefore, we must move. Last year the same thing happened to us, and we were given a very small site for our 26' RV, and scratched our vehicle to put the trailer in that site. No apologies were ever given, nor were we informed last year in advance. We will never book at this campground again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
