I didn't have a high expectation but I was delighted to find a clean, efficient modern office with friendly staff. We camped in a perfectly level site pretty much by ourselves. Just us and the Whippoorwills. We camped in a spot near a water receptacle and I didn't have to worry about going anywhere to fill up. I was there for the Bassman Triathlon and checked out well beyond check out time with no hassle from the staff. I changed the listing above to reflect "big rig friendly". We are not a big rig but there were quite a few there. The roads, and sites were plenty big enough to accommodate the largest 5th wheel or motor home. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice state forest campground in the Jersey woods. Quiet and well maintained. No hookups, but a dump station and potable water are available. Even though I only gave it a seven, that number is quite good for any park in NJ ( although if you were to read some of my earlier reviews, I was overly generous to some other NJ campgrounds). After spending way too much time in NJ commercial campgrounds, I would have to say that the state parks are the way to go and this one is pretty good. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
