This Elks Lodge is actually located about 6 miles north of Santa Barbara in Goleta, just off the 101. This is one of the nicest Elks lodges we've seen - great restaurant, nice billards room, showers/gym available for $10 extra per stay. The RV spots are all back in and pretty close together - too tight even to park your tow, which needs to park in the lot. We were in site 7, which shares a utility box with site 7A, and we had a neighbor that parked so close we could literally reach out and touch windows. Not all sites were that close, so if you'd like some space (like I do), opt for another site. Sites are assigned when you make reservations & they would not move us when spots opened up. Like the other reviewers mentioned, the noise from the 101 is constant 24/7, but with the windows closed & earplugs, OK for sleeping. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an Elks member campground only. It is very clean, and Elks members are invited to use the clubhouse. Access to showers, gym, spa and laundry is available for an additional $10 per stay. Although there are no sewer hook-ups, there is a most inventive dump station. The club is in a beautiful neighborhood with flowers everywhere, and the commuter train goes through so fast you might think you imagined it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Elks Members Only. Nice Location; shopping is a 10 min walk; 60+ channel cable TV; Wi-Fi; Spots wide enough for slides on both sides. Sat TV is best on sites 1 to 6. Very friendly Lodge. Will take reservations. Sites assigned; dump on site. Close to Hwy 101. Will stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
