Camp hosts were *super* nice! Very friendly, helpful and hospitable. The park itself is "rustic", with dirt paths and dirt pads. That said, it looks like they are pretty level and our spot didn't require boards, etc. It's a nice setting and a river runs directly behind the park with many of the back-in spots along it providing a nice view out the back window while one enjoys morning coffee. This place is a bargain! If we find ourselves in Cave Junction again, we would certainly consider this park next time! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Newly upgraded WiFi connection works great. However, that does not compensate for the constant loss of water pressure due to problem with the water pump. Whenever water pressure is restored the water is highly rustic and stains the toilet. When water is available the pressure is so low that we were not able to effectively clean out the black tank washer. The current electrical system is not able to handle the demand as our electric power safety monitor kept on shutting down due to low voltage. We were force to by-pass the safety monitor to get electricity. We camped here with our friends and neither one of us will return to this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Mountain Man RV Park has good-sized spaces with lots of grass and trees. Our space was next to the Illinois River and had a deck. Each space even has a small firepit/grill. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Grassy sites with shade. Some pull-throughs, ours was back-in, overlooking the river. Wi-Fi was available and adequate. Cable television adequate for overnight but was very slightly snowy. Host was helpful and friendly. Good place to stay while visiting Oregon National Caves Monument. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
When I called to make the reservation I was told that we were reserving 2 river side sites with direct access to the river for the kids to play in. When we pulled in, the campground did not have easy access to the river and I was directed to a couple of sites in the middle of the park rather than riverside. The other rvs in the park looked like they were residents rather than vacationers. We ended up leaving and not staying. WE DID NOT STAY HERE. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
