This campground is HUGE - 500 sites and the noise level is high. We were directed to take a road to the site which lead under low trees - the worst scraping our RV has ever received! We could have taken another paved road and backed in, but the office staff seemed unaware of this. Thirty amp power is marginal, water pressure is strong. The park Internet is unusable during the day - way oversubscribed. We did not have a chance to check the bathrooms/showers during our stay. Good site spacing for such a large park. Some shade in some sites. Paved interior roads, sites are grass. Jacks sink into the ground, even on large blocks. Very busy resort area with tons of restaurants and amusement parks all around. We might come back for an overnight stay, but this park is just too large and busy for us to relax in. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Marco Polo is an immense campground with large and level sites. There are a large number of seasonal campers and a large number of children. There are many transient sites available. We had a 50-amp site that was very spacious. Wi-Fi was adequate and we had Direct TV access. Cavendish is a strange mix of natural beauty (national park) and tourist trap (amusement parks). The countryside is beautiful with rolling hills of varied shades of green.. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Without question the best park on PEI if you have a Big Rig. Some 50 amp sites are available, good Wi-Fi, plenty of elbow room. Downside is a lot, I mean a lot of kids; however we've stayed here twice over the years and it's the only park you want to put your Big Rig on! We found this park using Big Rigs Best Bet book. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our daily rate reflects our early season stay at Marco Polo Land. The posted summer rate is #41.90. This is a large, well-kept campground which includes a restaurant, an inn, a decent camp store and numerous play areas and family activities. There are both open sites on grassy areas resembling a golf course, and wooded areas as well. Our open campsite was exactly level, and wide and deep enough to easily back into. Even though it has rained for our entire stay, the site never got muddy. Marco Polo is about a mile from the Green Gables House of the 1908 novel, and just a bit farther from the beach. There is an adequate number of bath houses scattered throughout the park. The only negative is the lack of cable TV and only a handful of channels accessible by antenna. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed at this campground during a long holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The park wasn't too overcrowded and the area where we parked wasn't a high-traffic area. There were plenty of children around but for the most part they were mindful of traffic through the park. It is advertised as a family park but it still was comfortable for a party of five adults. There are nice fire pits available at every site. Hookups for a tent trailer were not in the most convenient locations as they were at the edge of the site amongst some trees. We will camp again! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
We were told by many people that this was the campground to stay in Cavendish. It is definitely not an adult park. This park is for young people with children. The place is full of children on bikes, who do not care about cars coming and going. I usually do not mind if there are scads of children, but these seemed to be unruly. The sites are large and level, but we did not find the check-in staff friendly or helpful. They could not provide any information regarding propane for your RV or answer other questions about the area. There is an information center a few miles away and they are very helpful. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice campground. The sites are very wide and room to pull the tow vehicle on the site. The sites are grass, level and terraced at many. We use a 30am site, water was good. Sewer was in a bad place. It was almost under the trailer when we first pulled into the site. Wi-Fi access points were plentiful, and accessible. Only problem many of them would not connect to the internet. We had to go to the laundry to get on the internet. I ended up going to a laundry a couple of miles away and got on the internet through a motel close by. Roads are single lane and cause a problem when someone else is going the other way. Both of us have to drive partway off the road. There are nice trees around many of the campsites. Only problem is they are so close it is difficult to pull into the site. We stayed here a week and would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We spent an entire month at Marco Polo Land and enjoyed the campground very much. We have a 45' motorhome and there was more than ample room for us with lots of elbow room. We have stayed at hundreds of campgrounds across the US and Canada and this one is truly excellent. Very good attention to detail and maintenance is obvious throughout the park. Very conveniently located in Cavendish and a very nice family oriented park with lots to do for the kids. We heard nothing but positive comments from others here as well. We highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground was very well kept but we found it very large with tight security. Our site was very nice but not as secluded as we would have liked. The pool was great and the location close to Cavendish beach was nice. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed in the big trailer section, sites were HUGE and quiet. Pull-up was a breeze and hook ups were good. Because of demographic in our section, the area was really quiet. Nearby showers were hot even after 10am and were clean. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a large campground located within 2 kms from the Cavendish Beach. Tent sites are large with good tree coverage. Facilities are clean and hot water for showered. Has areas for kids away from general population. Staff are friendly, good knowledge about the sites to fit your needs. A+ We camped here in a Tent.
