Very nice resort for trout fishing in the Sierra. If you don't fish, well, the scenery is great too. Nice park but they really stack them in. There are some more open sites to the front, but the back rows are very tight. Good news is that they will be happy to let you drop your camper on the road and they will back it in with a forklift for you. Trust me, this is the best deal in town. Watched some guys that wanted to back themselves in and it took an hour and a divorce lawyer. Let the man put your camper in and pull it out for you! Great camp store and cafe on site. Back off the road a bit but well worth it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We really enjoyed our stay at Silver Lake RV park. Sites can be a bit tight but they got us in an end site with lake view and it was perfect. Just there for two nights so next time we're staying longer. The cabins across creek are very nice as well. Saw lots of wild deer while we were there too. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is in a lovely spot across from Silver Lake, but it is way too crowded and so cluttered that it had a city block feeling. This is probably made worse by the fact that there is no grass or real space between the sites. The spaces are so tight that we could hear our neighbors conversations. It is such a shame because this could be so much nicer than it is. The managers are friendly, but we wouldn't stay there again. We paid for two nights but only stayed one. We camped here in a Motorhome.
RV park is located across the street from Silver Lake. The sites here are close together but we had enough room to put out are awnings and 3 slides. Friendly staff who helps direct you into your site. They don't allow you to just come in and park by yourself. The cafe has good food and they are always busy. The cafe closes at 2pm but there are other places to eat in the village. There are four lakes along the June Lake loop and we've always been partial to Silver Lake when we fished. Mostly rainbow trout and now and then we would hook up with a brown. The pack station is near the park where they offer hourly rides and there are numerous trails to hike. The views are spectacular here, of course we're extremely partial to the area since we lived here for 18 years!! Silver Lake Resort closes on Oct. 15th but the fishing continues on until the middle of November. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Campground was ok, camp hosts were very friendly and helpful but it is the surroundings that make this so special. Scenery was awesome, campground directly across from Silver Lake and the fishing was excellent. Nice little store and restaurant. Our first trip to June Lake Loop and we will definitely return, hopefully in fall. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great setting -- right up against the Sierras, near a good trout lake. Managers were friendly and helpful. Lots of hiking nearby. Well maintained and very clean park. But sites were very tight, as were interior roads. Tough to get in and out of spots. Very little shade or privacy -- basically a parking lot. A few spots have a little shade. Very quiet at night. Terrific stars [except for the darn ten thousand foot mountains -- they got in the way]. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
