GPS Coordinates: 15.66616 N, 96.51982 W. The manager took a look at our rig (truck pulling a long trailer) and thought we could easily fit into one of the spaces in this park. We were supposed to back into their gate off a busy, windy mountain street and then back into our slot. Well, it would have been possible if their private road had been well maintained (as well maintained as their parking pads) or if their landscaping had been a little less lavish. We spent over an hour trying to back into our place but only managed to break two of our scissor jacks ($100 worth of damage) and innumerable boards. We eventually just pulled out of the campground and parked at Fernando’s RV Park (also in Puerto Angel) instead. At this point, we have parked in RV parks and campgrounds everywhere from Alaska, Canada, the US, and Mexico, and we have backed into innumerable parking spots (90 or more), and this was the first time we just couldn’t get in. The management and owners were incredibly unhelpful and disappeared at the first sign of trouble, although they reappeared when they realized we were blocking their driveway. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
