This quiet, dust free, away from the highway, RV Resort no longer has a viable green 18-hole golf course. The course was abandon three years ago. The exercise room is gone, as well. I wasn't set on playing golf, and it was an enjoyable place to stay for a week. The paved access roads are plenty wide, and the back-in top-notch gravel sites are spacious. Some are adjacent to a 9-Hole short course green zone. A few park models are mixed-in with the level sites. Tengo Wi-Fi is offered for a fee. Verizon 3G works great since there is a tower across the main road. The place was less than half full for February. Perhaps the odd trash rules, guest are required to uncover the pool if they want to swim (not an easy task), the pet policy, and lack of upkeep is driving snow birders elsewhere. Just the same I enjoyed the extra space during my stay. Plenty of adjacent trails to trail bike and hike. I am not sure if I will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice, quiet park, away from road noise, but 3 pages of rules and regs. Really? It does have great views of the surrounding mountains and golf course, but only a limited area to walk dogs in the park. (There are sand sidewalks outside the park.) If you've been holding your recyclables on your trip, this is the place to go: they recycle just about everything. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
When we arrived at this park, we were very impressed with its setting, the golf course adds so much beauty and green to the desert setting. There are blooming cactus, the grounds are immaculate, the sites are large and the residents friendly. There are many trees with some providing shade to the RV sites. Our excitement lasted long enough to read the pet policy. If you have a pet, you are restricted to sites in the most undesirable section of the park, away from the clubhouse/pool complex, and away from the pitch and putt and the golf course, and backing up to the noisy streets. We won't return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our initial contact by phone to verify Passport America rates was fine although there was no mention that there must be reservation placed to receive the rate. As we don't like to give credit card details by phone we arrived to be told because we had not booked, the Passport rate would not apply. The Manager finally agreed to honor the rate after some discussion, although I was made to feel very awkward from the time I arrived. If Campgrounds are hesitant applying discounts to campers I wish they would not participate in these types of programs. All we want to do is enjoy our vacation thanks! The park also is not very pet friendly as the manager suggested we walk our dog out the front gate and across the road, which suggested we had his permission to use the rest of Arizona if we so wished! Thanks mate! The cable TV is only available in the clubhouse which meant that watching local channels was like watching snow fall in your RV. Positive points are that the golf course adjacent was cute with regular golfers making you very welcome, the clubhouse and pool area was fine and well utilized. The WiFi was available at a cost. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very pretty park in desert setting. 9 hole pitch and putt golf course with RV sites right next to golf. Sites are very large and level and well maintained. Rec. hall with pool tables etc. Pool area very nice with heated pool. Not much to the town, nearest good size town about 50 miles. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
