Campground is quiet. I'll give it that. Small rural place. No concrete or gravel on our site. The entrance/exit is only one lane, you are in serious trouble if you meet someone coming the opposite way. Narrow roads interior also. Bathrooms were spotless which is a plus. Utilities worked fine. Exiting with a right turn needs to be done very cautiously due to a deep culvert on the right. Beware! Very basic park with a fairly high price. That all being said. There is not many choices in this area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We just returned from two great days at Bumble Bee and we upon arrival we encountered a major problem and that was we could not disengage our fifth wheel from the hitch. We had planned to roam the area, fly fish on the Savage River and it seemed that all was lost until the owner went and got her daughter's car filled with gas and saved the day. Great people, very secluded and quiet and lots of shade. We will go back again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A very very nice campground. We arrived late at night and were greeted very nicely by the staff. They even helped us set up at ten o'clock at night. The campground is one of the quietest I have ever stayed at. The staff checked on us every night to make sure everything was fine and I even saw them help out a young couple who were camping in a tent for the first time which was very nice to see. The bathrooms were wonderfully kept and there was not a speck of trash to be found anywhere in the campground. The campground would have gotten a ten rating if only they had a little bit more level sites. The owner was working on several sites to try to get them more level however don't forget to bring at least 3 inches worth of leveling blocks. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Quiet rural campground. Owner is extremely pleasant and maintains the campground nicely. Campground is only 5 minutes from Deep Creek lakefront. Most sites are pull-through with gravel, he also has primitive tent sites. Nature is around here, he does have the periodic bear, and coyote wander through camp. This is one of our favorite places to stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
