Rate is for a Water and Electric pull through. No discounts whatsoever. 27$ is still reasonable and the main reason for still rating it a 6. The site is grass, quite slopped and hard to level. There is no privacy. In fact this was the first campground we stayed in where I could shake hands with the neighbor from window to window. We couldn't pull out the awning because a tree was in the way. In the fire pit we found garbage from the previous site occupants, one of some signs we found that the staff has no attention to detail. Except for some train noise we had a good nights sleep. WiFi was ok. The day we left (check out = 2 pm) we visited the Genesee Village Museum which is lovely and just a few minutes away. Returning noonish we found our successors already waiting for the site, because staff had told them the site would be available as of noon. Very uncomfortable situation. Next time in the area we would try to find another campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The owners are very friendly and they keep the CG in very good shape. Many sites are for the season but sites are kept very nice. No sewer but have honey wagon and grey water at sites. 30amp power was weak but was a very hot 3 days. Nice little town of LeRoy near by with a wonderful RxR Depot restaurant. Letchworth SP 20 miles away and very nice. Loud race track open only Saturday nights across the street. Would stay again. Great RV service Co in Caledonia. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This place may be out of the way from Letchworth State Park but it's way better than camping at said park. Level ground, proper drainage, reasonable price, close to town. I could go on. A lot of careful planning went into this place. If you want an excellent, "basic" night's stay... This is the place. What a gem! We camped here in a Tent.
Overall a nice park. Good breakfast on Sunday morning from 8 to 10 by volunteers at the park. Very nice clean facilities. Had Gray Water discharge facilities at some of the sites, not all. Good TV reception in this area & not enough trees to block all satellite. Unfortunately,it rained the entire time we were there so could not make a real assessment of many areas. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Trash was picked up when dumpster was full. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here again this year while visiting relatives in the area and enjoyed it as much as last year. Owners are very friendly and helpful; campground is clean and neat, sites are grassy and level. There is no sewer but honey-dipper comes around twice a week for a very reasonable fee. There is a dump station for when you leave. They've expanded the campground into the upper field this year and those sites are nice. You're a bit further from the office and playground and there are no trees there yet but it's like a separate, private campground. Really rather nice. The tent sites here are nice and private, tucked away in little coves. It almost makes me want to go back to tenting! They've added 2 geocache hides here this year so if you're into that, ask at the office. One is part of the CONY promotion and so far, isn't listed on the geocache website. The other one is. There are many other caches within 10 miles so you could keep busy for quite awhile. We will be back next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We reserved a site at this campground without the benefit of previous reviews and we lucked out. The pull through sites in the front are decently level with a table, fire ring and one or two trees on each site. It appears 2/3 of the campsites are seasonal but they're neat and well kept. Very nice walking trails throughout the campground with several leading to a golf course (don't know the size). Golf clubs for rent in the office. Restrooms are showing their age but they are very clean as is the laundry. Small playground for children (swings & slide); game room with video games; small store with camping basics and groceries; rec room and pavilion. There's a small dirt race track directly across the street that has races on Saturday evenings. Honey dipper comes through 2x a week and there is an RV repair shop in Caledonia that offers mobile repair services. We would definitely camp here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
